Cricut® Vinyl makes it easy to personalize your home with customized quotes, message boards, removable labels, chore charts, and calendars or you could even customize your school supplies. Each roll comes with one 12” x 48” vinyl sheet. Cricut® Transfer Tape makes applying the vinyl a cinch.

Cricut® Vinyl is easily removable, making it convenient to change things up every now and then. You can even decorate your walls for each coming holiday. With our large variety of Cricut® images and fonts, you can customize your home and belongings to fit your very own style!

Cricut® Vinyl sheets are made up of two parts. The vinyl is the actual material that will be cut and applied to your project and the liner is the carrier sheet that holds the design in place while the vinyl is being cut.

Step-By-Step Instructions
Cutting Vinyl with the Cricut® Machine
  1. Place vinyl sheet (liner side down) onto Cricut® cutting mat.
  2. Select images and size and load mat into the machine.
  3. Refer to Vinyl Kiss Cut Guide table to adjust machine settings. A kiss cut is a cut that only goes through the vinyl and leaves the liner intact.*
  4. Press CUT.

    Preparation with Cricut® Transfer Tape
  1. Remove the negative pieces from each of the images using the weeder tool found in the Cricut® Tools kit. This process is known as weeding.
  2. Remove the liner from the transfer tape. Take the transfer tape in each hand with the adhesive side facing down.
  3. Gently place the transfer tape over the images. Start in the center and move out toward the edges. A craft stick or the scraper found in the Cricut® Tool Kit can be used to burnish** the tape onto the vinyl.
  4. Flip the vinyl over, with the transfer tape intact. Peel the vinyl liner away from the transfer tape, and vinyl image, at a 45-degree angle. If the vinyl sticks to the liner, simply burnish the transfer tape onto the vinyl again. Peel the vinyl away from the liner

    Application
  1. Carefully place the transfer tape with vinyl images on a clean and dry surface, making sure the images are straight.
  2. Press the vinyl onto the surface, starting in the center and moving out toward the ends. A craft stick or the scraper found in the Cricut® Tool Kit can be used to burnish the vinyl onto the surface.
  3. Peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl at a 45-degree angle. If the vinyl sticks to the transfer tape, simply burnish the vinyl onto the surface again. Peel the transfer tape away from the vinyl.

*If you choose to cut through both the vinyl and the liner, you can peel the liner away from the vinyl and apply the vinyl to the surface by hand.
**Burnishing is a rubbing or polishing action that uses a craft stick or squeegee.
Vinyl Tips and Tricks
    Cricut® Machine Settings
  • Settings should be set low to create a kiss cut.
  • Arrange your design in the Cricut Craft Room® design software or Cricut Design Space™ as you want it to appear on your surface; this way you don’t have to line images up when applying the vinyl.
  • If a part of your vinyl image is peeling up during cutting process, your speed may be set too fast.

    Vinyl
  • To avoid wasting vinyl, cut a piece of vinyl the size of your project.
  • Use tools to remove negative pieces. Make sure cut image remains on backing.
  • Use weeding tool to remove smaller negative pieces.

    Transfer Tape
  • Cut a piece of transfer tape the same size as your cut image.
  • Apply pressure over image using a scraper or credit card. If the image isn’t coming up with the transfer tape, re-lay it down, apply more pressure, and try again.
  • Press vinyl image onto a clean surface, working from center outward, smoothing out and applying pressure as you go.
