too Much work
The cricut expression original is so much more easier to use . A whole lot less steps. I did not find it to be new and improved. too many extra steps instead of push cut and done with it.

Machine is just like all the rest of the Cricut machine. I have been trying to buy the wireless adapter now for 5 months and am have no luck any were. I have sent many request to service to help me with this problem. No luck as of today. I have a Cricut Expression but I wanted a wireless machine. I would NOT have bought this if I knew it would be such a problem to get the adapter. What a joke the add is for this. I am sooo disappointed with Provo Craft.

I really want to like this...
I had a Cricut Original that worked great! Then I decided I would 'upgrade' to the Expression 2. Big mistake so far.
The mat that came with the machine has NO stickiness to it. So automatically I have to get a new mat. Then the cuts aren't going all the way through the paper. I've tried different settings, taking the blade out and back in, different kinds of paper... Even thin paper doesn't get cut all the way through.
Then, the touch screen is a little complicated to navigate. It's not to horrible because I was using the Cricut Craft Room, but I'll be in trouble if I use the machine by itself.
To top everything off, customer service doesn't respond to emails in anything close to a reasonable amount of time, and their phone line is only open while I'm at work when I can't make personal calls. So what's a gal to do?
I can't get help with the issues the machine is having or issues I'm having getting my preloaded cartridges onto Craft Room. I'm pretty sure I'm taking this back!

I would give it 0 stars if I could....
I purchased the Expression 2 not even two days ago from a Micheal's in order to make some crafts for a baby shower I was hosting. The cricut was either defective or incomparable with my new windows 8 computer. Spent 7 frustratingly unsuccessful hours to try to get the machine to work. Tried to return the item to the store today and was told I had to go directly to the manufacturer. This policy neither printed on the box nor on the receipt. Micheal's does have a VERY small sign posted with this policy, but that sign is nowhere near the actual cricut machine. (It's about 5 feet to the left and three shelves up next to the cartridges.) I would have never made the purchase from a store had I known this was the policy. None of the "helpful" store associates thought to clue me in on this fact either. Either way, I'm returning the machine. It's not worth my time and frustration.

Dont expect custom cuts
Seen all the great things you can do with a Cricut Expression on Youtube, custom cut vinyl art and the such. Michaels had their exclusive version on sale... had to jump on it.
Get it home... Probo Craft sued other companies for allowing the Expression to cut custom svg files?!!
Im sure it is a great machine as long as you want to fork out the big $ for their cartridges, otherwise its a money grab rather than please their customers!
Look elsewhere is all I can say. Other systems can do all the Expression 2 can, AND custom svg files.

great product and excellent service
My first Cricut Expression 2 was a menace! However, the Cricut customer service department was SO helpful and FAST! The turnaround time for my new Cricut Expression 2 was within less than a week - I couldn't believe it! My new machine is a dream. The Material cutting guide is a blessing. Definitely load up on mats and blades for nonstop cutting. I always recommend this machine. It and Cricut has met and exceeded my expectations!

I feel bad for all the people who gave bad reviews about they machine not working. So far I've had no problems with mine. I'm new to this, so I have a lot to learn but the Craft Room helps a lot. No problems with mine! I love it!

I feel so bad for all the bad reviews. Cricut support is top notch. Not to mention the blogs and Q & A on Cricut for anyone to express troubles and Cricut members who are always happy to help. Another place to go is online. Youtube has many people who give all kinds of tips that I had never thought of! Please - give it time. Anything new takes some getting used to! The machine is so great! Hope they continue to keep up with the upgrades and the things offered by other companies. They were the first widely known and with the money all of us have invested and our loyalty to the company I think Provo Craft and Cricut are wonderful and I'd like to be able to continue to pass that along to all! Thank you so much for your creativity and support! One more thing - thank you for continuing the BOOKS! They would be greatly missed by many of us! Keep up the GREAT WORK! THANK YOU!

First Cricut and already disappointed
I had heard a lot of good things about this product. I just recently purchased the Cricut Expressions 2 in teal from Michaels. I am grading this a one star because for the amount I paid and the product not being up to par. I was so excited to use the Cricut BUT the touch screen didn't work! Imagine my disappointment…DEF going to the store tomorrow to hopefully exchange it. I hope my new one works or else I will just have to forget it.

The only complaint I have regarding the machine is how difficult it can be to control the screen. I am 24 and very familiar with technology and have small hands and it is still terribly difficult to get it to do what I want it to do at times.

Not impressed with Cricut Expression
Screen is small to see and too many places to go into to just a simple thing. My old one was easy to adjust and just go. Why do you make things more difficult than easier with a newer model?

I Absolutely Love My E2
I have been reading these reviews and all the bad reviews are baffling me. I bought my Expression 2 at the launch on HSN. I will admit it took some time to learn as I already had the smaller version with a keyboard, but I haven't had any problems at all with mine. I do wish you could load your cartridges onto the machine instead of having to rely on Cricut Craft Room but I have a really nice cartridge carrier that I made so it's not the end of the world. Bottom line: if mine died today, I would be out buying another one tomorrow.

I love the Cricut expressions 2 machine! So far, with my new Cricut Expression 2, my craft ideas and skills have become limitless. I totally think that every new Cricut crafter should start out with the Expression 2 as it is fun and easy to use, especially with the cool new touch screen. Thanks so much Cricut for such an amazing machine! I love it!
By the Way, The Christmas Advent software is awesome.

I bought a new cricut expression 2 on the internet and got it delivered to our home in Puerto Rico; used four times and it stop working, I called cricut and did all the trouble shutting with them on the phone, afterwards they tell that the machine is defective and they have to replace it. However, the warranty does not apply because we are in Puerto Rico and they will not replace it. It does not matter that Puerto Rico is part of the US, I guess they consider us third class citizens and do not honor any kind of warranty. Horrible company; I will never order form them again.

I have two cricuts...the Expression 1 which I love and then I thought..oh well I'll get the expression 2 because it has so many features I would love. Well I wish I would have saved my money and walked away...and just gotten another expression 1(because I really do need two machines)because this expression 2 has some issues....and most of them are just like the issues previously mentioned...worked until I hooked it up to my computer, and then, after I determined that the port on my machine just is not working, my machine froze up so I had to reset it...and now, after getting that resolved it only works for one cut and then it has to be reset again. Bear in mind that I have updated it twice, I have reset it FOUR TIMES now, and it is now a worthless pile of junk. I think Provo Craft needs to take a step back, remember the people who do NOT use the craft room and still love to use physical cartridges and just dabble in the digital things, and make their machines worthy of a craft room that does heavy duty crafting. Its kind of hard to start a scrapbook business when your machines are unpredictable!(btw...I'm thinking of sending this one back to provo craft not for the money back, because its been over 4 years now...but because its taking up valuable space in my craft room...you guys need to figure out your machines before you go releasing new versions!)

I purchased my CE2 in August of 2012. I was really pleased when I finally got used to the new procedures. Last spring I had an issue and finally figured out how to correct it after syncing did not work. Then art he beginning if school this year I was using it and in the middle of my project it made a grinding noise and the carriage would not return to its resting place. I was so made I out it away for a few weeks before even trying to use it again. When I took it out it worked perfectly fine for a few weeks and then it would go through the process of acting like it was cutting but the blade would never touch the vinyl. After trying several times it began making the grinding noise again and will not work. I emailed customer service, which took over a week to get a response, and they told me to sync it again. I did and no joy. No one has any idea why this happens and only after 14 months, limited use, still packs in original box, they will do nothing. After spending 250.00 on the machine, I expected several years of usage, not barely one. I am furious!!

First and so happy!
This is my first Cricket purchase and I LOVE IT. At first it was a little complicated but if you actually read the instructions and are patient it is easy to use! This is the best $200 I have ever spent!

This is my first Cricut machine and I love it! The screen is a little small, but I have had no problems with cutting through paper or anything else. I'm very happy with the Cricut Expression 2.

I got the Cricut Expression 2 for Christmas and I love it. I have had no problems. It works great by itself and with Cricut Craft Room. It's wonderful.

Do not buy! I have had my machine 1.5 years and it will not turn on! I called customer service like other reviews had suggested to see if they would send me a cord because it was out of warranty. The rep said no and told me to buy another cord on line or check with a friend of mine to see if it is really the cord. Either way there is nothing she could do. I totally regret this purchase!!!!! I only used it 4 times! For $300!! Tried to give half star and it wouldn't let me:) wonder why?

Customer service is NOT customer focused. They are full of excuses, talking over you and "no big deal" attitudes. I hope you don't need them. Can't tell for sure yet but I believe my machine has a problem with the touch screen. They had me reboot and called it good. BY THE WAY THERE IS NO WAY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK ON THIS PRODUCT. READ THE WARRANTY BEFORE YOU PURCHASE!

Received my Cricut about a year ago and used it a handful of times, went to turn it on one day and the screen started flashing black then got stuck, now it won't even turn on. Called Cricut support and there is nothing they can do since I didn't register it when i got it. I have well over $500 worth of cartridges and paper with a machine that is worthless. Wish they had a better return policy for a faulty machine.

Want the 1st Expression Back!
I've had a Cricut machine for years and love it! Some friends thought it would be nice to upgrade me to a new machine so bought the Expression 2. It was awful! Nothing worked like it was supposed to, there were a million steps/buttons to push for each cut, and my cartiges didn't work in it properly. I can see why its on clearance on this site... they want it gone as bad as I did!
