Not what I expected from PC!
No trifold, no booklet, nothing. Just a lot of guess work. Nothing in the cartridge library to help take the guess work out of this cartridge. C'mon PC this isn't like it has in the past, hope it isn't the trend of the future!

My Goodess Me-Waste of Money
So, now we are left to guess how to make the images. Not a bit of info with this cartridge-not a book, tri-fold, or pamphlet. Saving money PC? Then don't put this in a box.

This cartridge has got to be the worst that I have purchased. Very disappointed. No instructions. How are the older people who use these suppose to figure things out. PC I hope you do not continue down this path.

I agree with the others. No instructions. Thought I had lost the booklet that usually comes with a cartridge. How much time will it take to figure out all the ins and outs of this cartridge. Very disappointed.

Poor Scandinavian Designs
When I saw the title of this cartridge, I flew into the details at lightening speed but was sorely disappointed in the "Scandinavian" designs. It was evident that the designer did not research nor consult a true Scandinavian. Cricut could have done so much with this cartridge and put true Scandinavian Christmas sayings and designs. I didn't even buy it. Very disappointing! and surprising for Cricut. Signed, a first generation American from a mom & dad born in Sweden & Norway.

Not that hard
I understand that everybody is frustrated and turned off by the lack of an instruction book. However, my Scandinavian cartridge arrived in the mail today, and in about fifteen minutes I had created a couple of the items. It functions just like any other cartridge, and while there is no book, there is a little page on the inside of the case that explains how the layers work. Honestly, I found it pretty simple.
The images are absolutely adorable. I plan to make many 5-minute cards with this one. I would definitely recommend, as long as you can manage without step-by-step instructions.

I found it pretty simple to figure out. You start at the top of the overlay and work your way down to create the images.

This cartridge has some really pretty images on it. As far as the comments go about lack of an instructional book/pamphlet, after having received another cartridge with this same format, once I saw that the instructional book/pamphlet is now consolidated as part of the cover, it's easy to see what to do, especially after just looking at the overlay. Many of the past seasonal cartridges have this same format where you just need to follow the overlay images right down the line to get your layers.
It might help ward off the confusion if perhaps there were some sort of note somewhere in/on the packaging explaining that there isn't a separate book/pamphlet, but that same information is now available right on the cover of the cartridge box. Hope this helps.

This Norwegian thinks you forgot something
As a second generation norwegian I can tell you this looks nothing like the images I grew up with...what happened to the sayings.....this just looks like it was thrown together. The images are pretty, but the next time you put something like scandanavian on the package, it should really have something to do with a true scandinavian Christmas, and not a watered down version of it.

I agree, I was so excited to have a cartridge that I could use to scrapbook my holiday pictures with my Norwegian relatives....what a disappointment! These are NOT representative of the lovely Scandinavian decorations I have seen....please try again.

I don't know why this cartridge is rated so low - I love it! These are easy to assemble and unusual types. It's not just a copy of some other cartridges.

Wish it would have even a small instruction booklet - that would save a lot of time and trial & error in making cards, since I am new at card making.

Why no booklet
I got to christmas cartridges and thought it would be fun to make Christmas card. Very disapointed when I opened this one and no booklet to help with cutting. No help on this website either
