Troubleshooting:

From PC:

(1) Check that driver's are installed correctly.

http://www.cricut.com/craftroom/default.html

(2)Do you hear a “beep” sound when you connect the Cricut to the computer? If not, try a different USB port on your computer.

(3)Is Cricut Design Studio or Cricut Sync running at the same time? These programs sometimes interfere with the USB communication, so make sure those programs are closed before opening Craft Room.

(4)Do you have more than one Cricut machine connected to your computer? Disconnect the USB connection to any machines not currently in use.

(5)Are you running an anti-virus program that could be blocking communication? Add Cricut Craft Room to your trust programs list.

(6)If you have a Gypsy, make sure it is not connected to your computer when you have Craft Room open.

From PC:

Can George be linked to CCR? Still working on this

E2 with CCR does not have an unload button in CCR.

E2 no longer automatically ejects the mat after each cut. This allows you to correctly align cutting and drawing with Cricut markers. You can eject the mat by clicking the icon on the E2 LCD screen---like you would cutting from the machine directly.

E2 with CCR is saying to use buttons to cut, load and unload button on the E2.

When you use the wireless adapter to cut, CCR will direct you to follow the instructions on the E2 screen (like what it does for Imagine). This makes it easier for you to cut a project with an E2 that is not right next to your computer.

How do you fix bridge errors?

Having a Gypsy connected to the computer while CCR is running can cause an error. Some antivirus/firewall programs can also cause an error. At this point, most bridge errors are could be specific to a user's computer configuration and might require 1 on 1 troubleshooting. If post 1 in this thread does not work, then contact Provo Craft's customer service.

Excerpt taken from the below link and for the full post, click the below link.

From PC:

Make sure you have the latest software and firmware updates
Please make sure that you have installed the latest Cricut Craft Room update and latest firmware associated with your Cricut machine for the best design experience.

Cricut Craft Room: 103 (build or version)

Latest machine firmware:
Imagine: 0117
Expression 2: 0065
Expression/Cake: v2.43
Create/Cake Mini: v1.61
Personal Cutter: v1.40
Cricut Mini: 22

Updating the Original Cricut Personal Cutter to v1.40 firmwareSome of the oldest Original Cricut Personal Cutters simply do not have the internal componentry to communicate with the latest technology in Cricut Craft Room. You can still use these machines to cut with Cricut Craft Room, you just can't use these older machines to link cartridges to your Cricut Craft Room account. We are diligently working on possible solutions, but if your Original Cricut Personal Cutter will not update to v1.40 FW, you will not be able to link your cartridges using that machine.

Imagine
Some Imagine users may experience some problems with Cricut Craft Room cutting with Cricut Imagine machines. We are working on resolving these problems as quickly as possible. Please check back for updates.

When you get a new machine, the first thing you want to do is to update the Cricut using the methods below:

Gypsy
At this writing, register the Gypsy and then update the Gypsy in which it can only be updated via Cricut Sync. Cricut Sync will be added to your computer as apart of your registration.

http://www.cricut.com/gypsy/gettingstarted.aspx

Imagine and E2
At this writing, they can only be updated via Cricut Sync.

http://www.cricut.com/cricutsync/

Legacy Cricuts - Legacy Cricuts are Cake Mini, Cake, Create, Baby Bug, and the Expression 1.

At this writing, the Legacy Cricuts can only be updated via Cricut Design Studio whether it is a trial version or the full (paid) version or the Gypsy. If you are using the trial version of Cricut Design Studio or updating Cricut Design Studio, download the first part and then return to the link and download the second part (font pack). When updating the Cake, choose Cricut Expression and when updating the Create, choose the Create.

More tips from PC:

CCR cutting screen progression.

(1) Main design screen - click CUT

(2) Select Device screen - click on the Cricut machine you are using then click the "select device" button

(3) Cut Preview screen. Where you set multi-cut, choose what layer to cut, etc. This is also where the cartridges used list is. - click CUT

(4) Insert cart screen(s). If you need to insert carts--meaning you used carts that are not linked--it will ask you do that now. If you only used linked carts, CCR will skip this step.

(5) Load mat screen. If you have not already loaded the mat into the machine, it will ask you to do that now. If the mat is already loaded, CCR will skip this step.

Then the machine should start cutting.

From Product Development

Here are some troubleshooting steps for the wireless adapter:

1 - If your wireless network is password protected, confirm that you have inputted the correct password into the Expression 2.

2 - If your router has an option where you can choose between open and shared, choose shared.

3 – If your SSID can be broadcasting or non-broadcasting, choose broadcasting.

4 - Check that ports 7007 and 7008 are open (not being blocked) on your computer.

5 - Make sure that your computer's firewall and your router are not blocking Cricut Craft Room.

From Product Development:

The E2 can link Imagine Art carts to CCR. It cannot link Imagine Pattern carts at this time. Currently, you can only link cartridges when you go to print/cut with them, so only Imagine could ever ask you for a pattern cart to even reach the option to link it.

More tips from PC:

If a cartridge is linked, it will have a green link symbol next to it in the Cartridges Used screen. If it is not linked, the link symbol will be grayed out and "broken" looking.

From Product Development:

Can the jukebox be used with CCR and or the Imagine?

Imagine and E2 has the same results. When you change cartridges, it will clear the queue. But you can use it for detecting cartridges in CCR, as long as you push the button so the jukebox has highlighted the cartridge CCR is looking for.
