I have a cricut expression machine and I bought the deep cut blade and housing and installed into my machine.
I would like to cut some felt and foam pieces to make a banner for a church project but when I cut the felt it bunches up and does not cut all the way through the felt. When I cut the foam pieces it does not cut all the way through. I have the needle pressure o max and the deep cut blade/housing is set to 6.

What am I doing wrong, why can’t I cut these materials successfully?

Thanks for posting this question. I haven't tried felt but have the same issue with foam. Hopefully someone can give us advice!

I search YouTube for advice like that. I found this one. It's making your own stamps out of foam. http://www.youtube.com/w...mp;feature=youtube_gdata

Here's my favorite tutorial for foam:

Here's Joy's Life tutorial for cutting regular craft felt with Cricut:

A little tip about felt. Most felt will not go through your die cutters very well because it's nappy. You need to stabilize it practically into a rock or use wool felt.

Joy does an excellent job with her craft felt. As you can see she does a very basic shape. Detailed doily images would probably be a nightmare for the Cricut and craft felt.
