Hopefully this has not been asked before, I could really use some guidance. I just purchased the original YourStory, I've only taken it out of the box but have not used it. If I wanted to make smaller books (4x6 & 5x7) using covers that I'd make out of cardstock, can I do this with the machine I have or should I consider purchasing the YourStory Photo Personal Bookbinding Kit as well?

I am so excited about all of the possibilities and I can't wait to start binding. BigGrin

Karen,
the way I understand it you are fine with the original machine. The first machine is a lot more versatile than the new one. The new one will only do small sizes while the original with do 12x12 and smaller.

No, you don't need to get the smaller one. It would duplicate what you already have. You can make books as small as you want as long as you can fish them out of the binding machine. So I'd say 4 inches is as small as you can go.

I have both and I find myself using the smaller one more. I've been making photo books as grandparent thank you cards, quick journals for our road trip and even small mock passports that we used at Epcot. I doesn't take as much space and I can keep it on a small shelf, ready to go. Of course I'll keep the larger one for laminating and the bigger books. HTH!

Thanks for your responses, I went ahead and ordered the smaller one as well. HSN had a great price that included 28 covers. Please send creative vibes my way BigGrin
