Huh I went to Michaels today and found all all cricut cake catridges are $9.99 orginal price $89.99... and all cricut accesories 80% off!!! so I asked why...the mgr at the store told me that cricut cake is being discontinued!!!!!!! in michaels stores!!! so whatever they have is really cheap!!! I got the cricut cake tool kit for $3.24 and that was including tax....!!!! I cant believe is so cheap! I got my stuff in HSN cricut cake bundle etc... and it was really expensive...I wonder if there is something wrong with cricut cake and that's why is going so cheap?

Yes, My M's discontinued before Christmas and before I could get my hands on any thing Cricut Cake. I'd LOVE to find some of these deals!! From what I understand, there is nothing wrong with the products just that a mini cake machine was released at J's. Congrats on your find! You should buy some up and sell them to us here! The M's around here have had their Cake machines and accessories gone in November. I got the Cake for DD (for her hubby to give to her) and I bought her 2 carts and accessories - all at 60% off. If I had waited any longer, they wouldn't have anything left.

M's is getting rid of all the Cake stuff because I heard M's was PO'd that J's got the exclusive for the Cake Mini, so J's decided they wouldn't carry the Cake any more.

As far as the rest of the Cricut stuff, I just heard that M's is selling out all their Cricut stock to make room for new product.

Many other stores still carry Cricut....Office Depot now carries Imagine stuff, but looking on line, the prices for the Cricut accessories are outrageous! (2 pk of 12 x 12 mats going for $39.00!!!!) They won't be selling much with those prices.

CHA is at the end of the month, so we will be seeing new stuff from PC very soon!

I would like a Mini Cake. I think I would use it for Cupcakes and cookies. The big one, I have no space for and don't think I would use it. I am hoarding my Christmas J's giftcards in the hope of a great Cricut sale.

Ahhh so sad that I missed out on this. Would have loved a $30 Cricut cake or even some of the cartridges! Just went to my M's and the girl was nice enough to call a bunch of Michael's in the area but of course no one had a cake machine. :(

Is J's still carrying the mini? I would love to get one on sale. I see on the website that Williams Sonoma will be carrying the Cake now.

I was so lucky - just ran across an M's that had CCake supplies left- they just were priced 90% off- I only had a little supplies at home myself- but found blades, mats, water pens, brown frosting sheets and tool sets! Now I am so happy- I have supplies to work with. I hope M's is the only one to clearance though. I called other M's and not one item left. BJR.

I wish I could say I got mine for a great deal. I ended up getting mine from J's on Black Friday for 200. I actually thought that was a good deal. I did find a bunch of cricut cake stuff on clearance at my M's. I got the tool kit for 2.99, 8 12 x 24 mats for 1.59, blades and a couple of water brushes as well. Does anyone know if you can cut the mats in half? I figure for that price if all else failed I could cut the mats down to size. BigGrin I bought two of the cricut cake carts for 4.99 each. I ended up getting the third one off ebay, real cheap.Cool

Hi Christine:

Great deals! I don't know why you couldn't cut the mats in half. They should be fine. That's what I'd do if I were you.

I wish I had known. One Ms on Sunday had a few Cake cartidges for $4.99 (just the Birthday Cakes one). Do they keep the Cake stuff over by the cake decorating dept? I didn't even think to go look to see if they had anything. The cartridges were in the front with the other clearance Cricut stuff. I bought them jsut because you can use them on papercrafting as well.
