I have a cricut expressions machine and I was just honored with the priviledge to enter into the craft room. My question is what type of usb cord do I need to connect my computer to my cricut in order to cut from designs from this craft room? I have no idea if my cricut camme with a usb cord as I have had it for several years.

So excited, cant wait to play in the craft room!!

You need a regular printer cord. One that connects your printer to your computer.

My computer is a laptop and I dont think that it will connect to the plug in my cricut. The only port at my cricut I could find is the one right next to where the cricut plugs into the wall outlet the usb port has a white square thingy in the middle is this the right place? I have a cricut expression.

There's a USB cord that came with the Cricut Design Studio but I don't know which else you can use.

Yes, that is where the USB cord goes and you should have received a USB cable with your E.

I bought a cheap cord for it in my grocery store of all places. It was like $2.99 Or if you have a scanner mine uses the same type of cord. But hubby wasn't happy when he discovered I stole it from the scanner so I had to go buy a new one.

for the regular expression you need a USB-A male and a USB-b male connector:
I bought this one : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TH7GUA

but it seems they don't make it any more but there are lots out there. Check on the length you want, i went with 6 ft b/c the 3 ft was a it small.

you can look here

http://en.wikipedia.org/...i/File:Types-usb_new.svg

you need a cord with one Type A side (regular usb), and one type B side (usually the usb connector on printers)

Also, if you're having trouble finding a cord in a local store, check and see if they have a retractable laptop usb set... Usually comes with a bunch of different USB endings that you just hook up to whatever you want to attach to your pc.
