Hello all!

Our LSS, Scrappin' Time (BEST IN VEGAS!) is having an ice cream social crop this coming Saturday. I signed my DM, DD and myself up for the all day crop, it's going to be 104 this weekend and who doesn't like ice cream sundaes? While we were at J's this past weekend they had tees on sale 3 for $9. I thought how cute would it be to do freezer paper tees with ice cream on them. Well I came home from work on Monday and mom (who is recovering from back surgery) said look what I did today...and she had appliqued her shirt with the sundae from Birthday Bash. I loved it! I said I was thinking about calling you and asking if we could do that instead of painting it and I got too busy! Great minds and all...anyways my DD wanted the same sundae and I picked the ice cream float from Nifty Fifties. Below is our final product. I actually alterted my shirt to be off the shoulder and capped the sleeves but I didn't take a picture of it that way.

TFL!

I would also love a little more detail on how you did this. I was thinking of making something for my sister's baby that is due in August. :)

A girl always feels best when she's well-dressed for the occasion, don't you think?? All three of your tees are scrumptious!

Lisa, wash fabric - no fabric softener. Iron out wrinkles, iron on to wonderunder or fusible webbing. Settings speed 2 pressure 4 and blade depth 4. Use brand new mat and brand new blade, mark with an F for fabric and use sharpie on the acetate to note top and fabric mat.

The first time my mom tried it she used paper templates and cut them out of the fabric.

Then she ironed it on the tees and sewed around the fabric. I don't sew. I was originally going to do a freezer paper tee and paint, but then I thought about the fabric. I like my altered shirt. I cut the neck and sleeves off. See attached. Sorry for looking scary, I didn't put make up on. ;0)

Thanks for asking about the shirts! Hope this helps all of you. You can also view demos on you tube, I'm not that techincal.
