Hi! this is my first post. I have seen some vinyl creation with a cursive font.. What cardridge is being used. This font looks like the letters are connected. Is this done by hand or is it connected during cutting? thank you for taking the time to answer my question.BigGrin

To have the letters connected you need to use Design Studio or have a Gypsy.

The great thing about vinyl is you can over lap the vinyl a tiny bit and it looks connected. I do that sometimes with vinyl because if you make something connected and it is long sometimes it can stretch and become distorted. Hope this helps

I had that same issue. So if I have the Billionaire cartridge that has cursive, I would also need to get the Design Studio in order to get it to cut all as one word instead of individual letters? Our sons race Karts and I am planning on using my cricut to make their decals instead of paying someone else to make them.

Yes, you need to have the Design Studio to cut it as one word. I caught mine on sale at Michael's for half price.

What do you do on the Design studio to connect the letters? I have design studio but am a amateur when using it.

You move the letters or images to where they are slightly overlapping and click the weld button.

Narelle(GirlFromOz) has some great tutorials on using DS.

I have both DS and the Gypsy. If you want info on "welding" the letters (that's connecting them into one word without individual letters), Diane at http://www.capadiadesign.com/ has lots of good info too. I've thoroughly enoyed both and use both regularly.
