Hi Chris! I've been having fun watching the E2 launch off again on HSN. It reminds me of when the anniversary one launched of course. Anyways, it made me remember that there are features on the E2 that are not on the Imagine such as saving the paper settings, the spacing thing, etc. Is there any reason those can't be done in an Imagine update?

Thanks!

Call Customer Service. You likely have a bad cartridge and they need to replace it.

Those are all features that can be added to the Imagine. No, I don't know if/when they will be added but they are on the list.

Chris,

I love my Imagine, I really, really do (even after being on my 4th one). Will the 'list' ever get taken care of? Just seems like things are always on the list. I'd hazard a possible guess that the priority is getting CCR to work correctly with the Imagine (which I really really want too as it just doesn't work for me no matter what), but do hope the other items on the list happen sooner rather than another year out.

Thanks!

Chris,

There are a lot of rumors flying around that PC is discontinuing the Imagine from their product line. Can you or anyone at PC address this topic on the "Cricut Imagine" section of the message board, or maybe even post a statement on your homepage? People are under the impression that Imagine owners need to start stock-piling ink as no support or products will be available.

I think this is all crazy speculation, but people are getting nervous and upset. It might be time for someone in Marketing and/or PR to do a little damage control and stop the "spin" before it gets out of hand.

Right now it is a priorities issue. CCR has a very high priority so most all of our resources are going into it right now.

Chris I just did my content update for the imagine and it took over 8 hours to get done, but now there is no further updates but it will not read all my regular carts, it would only read 1 out of at least the 20 I tried, both old and new carts. I am on version 1:01 0116:0032:0239:202A

Why will this now not read my regular cricut carts it does fine with the imagine carts??? The light does not even come on recognizing the original cart, it only worked for disney classics and nothing else

Anyone????

Any idea how long it will be before we can use our regular carts in the imagine? This seems to be a big oops and should be fixed right away not months from now?

We are working on it right now. This only happened on a few people's Imagines so finding the source of the problem isn't easy. We have one Imagine here that has the problem so hopefully the problem can be identified and fixed quickly.

If it is fixed this week then I will post a message here this week. However, I will be in China the next two weeks and will have limited time and ability to post on the message boards while there.

If you don't see a message from me here then try running Cricut Sync next Monday and it will tell you if there is an update available.

He's just going to China for two weeks (see his post above). He'll be back. LOL But you don't want to be waiting for an answer here. If you have tech issues, you'll need to call PC support.

Hi Vivian, What are the version numbers on each? I think the following are the most current. If these are the versions that you have, try disconnecting the cord from the back of the Imagine, turn it off, plug the cord back in and turn it back on. Let us know how you make out. If you do not have the following versions (or higher), you'll need to sync them. HTH

HI ALL

sorry for jumping in and joining this thread,
BUT i have a question for Chris

I purchased my cricut imagine from Proudparents2005 on ebay
Serial Number: W28091010152
Model no: CRIN0001

The problem i am having is

When i turn machine on it does not go to welcome screen and makes a noise that just continues until i turn the machine off.

I have tried to contact Proudparents2005 with no success, they are not replying to my emails, and i have seen from another thread that there is no point in contacting ProvoCraft as they tell people to contact the seller. Will i get a replacement machine or a refund or what do i now do as it is an awful lot of money to pay out for something that is not working.

THANKS in advance DEBS

Provo Craft will more than likely send you a replacement if they can't get it running for you. If you want a refund I would contact Ebay.

If you want to try on your own, You might try to do a system restore.

Debbie - Did the machine come with a cartridge to update it? If so, have you put that in and turned the machine on and does it still make that sound? That's not a normal noise if it never stops. The rollers will make noise etc. as things line up. I assume all the packaging material was taking out from it (behind the blade housing and the ink spot). If you're in the US, call Provo. (sorry, forgot to look where you're from before I hit reply). If you're outside the US, they say go to the company. Proudparents is near impossible to get ahold of. HOWEVER, that is cricutmachine.com which is one of the authorized sellers of provo.

Hmm. I have that app but haven't used it in forever. Are they off as in too light, too dark? You could try cleaning the print heads and make sure you're printing on best quality. I wonder if the program needs updating.

Thanks for the response Khrista.

I tried several different colors, one being the pinkinni and it was a lot little then should be and I tried the bitter chocolate and it was more of a grey color then a brown color and again a very light color.

I have cleaned my print heads several times and nothing seems to work.

Thanks Patc

Basic straight answer to straight question:-

Some clarity would be greatly appreciated.

I was never gone...just extremely busy. But I am heading to China for the first few weeks of October so I won't be on the boards then.

I just went over to Marketing and asked your question. I was told that it had been put on the back burner for a few months while other things were taken care of but is now back up front and is a priority. I was given no timeline but was told that international support is a big part of our future. That's all I can say. Hope it helps.
