Please post any RGB codes you find that you like and think others would find helpful. Thank you to Chris for making this a sticky note so it doesn't get buried in all of the messages. This way it can be used as a resource for everyone to come to. Chris has been great and posted all of the RGB codes for the Imagine cartridges on another sticky.

This thread is for one's you find such as for Disney Cartridges/Skin Tones/Hair tones, etc. I don't know whether you have to have permission to post people's blog links, but I went ahead and asked for one's I frequent often out of respect for them. Please give credit if you can as a courtesy.

Thanks and Enjoy!

I've been asked for these one's often. I found them via a google search, but I believe credit goes to Retouch.com and HairPro.com.

Both are RGB codes for SkinTones.

Various people on the messageboard like to use a program to get an RGB code. I've seen it posted by many people so credit goes to anyone that has shared it. They're both similar with slight differences. It's just a matter of preference.

Color Cop: http://colorcop.net/

Pixeur: http://www.veign.com/application.php?appid=107

I have both and at the moment prefer Pixeur. Many people use ColorCop though. I'm sure there are lots of other programs out there too.

Thanks! Color Crop is exactly what I need. Now I can get the RGB code directly from the digital handbooks. No more having my cuts turn out a totally different color than the color I "thought" I was printing. Now, hopefully, I can get more of my Disneyland pages done.

Hello

Just a question about the Pizeur: Can you not upload and use a photo from your computer for this program. I created an account but it seems to only give me the option to upload from a URL or Flickr and I don't know how to do either. lol

Thanks Patc

When I use pixeur, I open it up on my computer. It should be something you downloaded and installed. The icon on my desktop is an orange square with a white P in it. It brings up the little program. You should then be able to just open a picture in whatever you normally use to look at pictures. Pixeur has what looks like a bullseye when it's open. Click and drag that over the picture to get the RGB code. You'll see it break it down into little squares to help you get the exact spot of color you want.

There shouldn't be any uploading etc.

A great tool to figure out color schemes is the Adobe Kuler (free to use). http://kuler.adobe.com/

It will give you RGB (along with HSV [hue, saturation, value], CMYK, LAB, and HEX codes so you can match colors to other things you may find elsewhere).

It allows for multiple types of color schemes - analogous, monochromatic, triad, complementary, compound, shades, and custom. You can also create a color scheme from an image which is a GREAT feature if you have an image you really love and want to pick colors out from it (would be great for matching colors to your photos).

Also, there is a massive library of user schemes and many are named by a theme (i.e. what the color scheme reminds the user of - like cherry blossom might consist of several shades of pink plus greens).

ALSO... one last place for color schemes that is great (I think they use the image feature on the Kuler site to get these, by the way) is here. http://www.photocardbout...egory/color-inspiration/

The images used are heavy on the wedding/flowers side, but there are schemes of all kinds - bold and bright, soft and muted, etc. Check it out, it's a great resource. While the colors are in HEX code, you could use the Kuler to get the RGB values for them.

They also have card making templates and ideas elsewhere on the same blog.

Hopefully this works, these are the RGB codes for CTMH (Close To My Heart) colors. Wish I could give credit, but it has been floating around on the CTMH boards for a while & not sure who the original poster was. Great chart!

I just found this for macs ... All new macs have a built-in color meter! It's so incredibly simple to use! I'm SO EXCITED to have found this! So, I thought I'd share it with you guys :)

http://www.ehow.com/how_...view-rgb-colors-mac.html

You just go under "applications" ... "utilities" and "digital color meter" ... it stays open and as you mouse over things, it gives you the RGB codes! Easy Peasy! So excited! (Also, change it from "RGB as Percentage" to "RGB as Actual Value"

I found a super easy way to find RGB codes without any new programs. Save the picture to your computer and then open it in Paint. Select the "Pick Color" Tool (looks like an eye dropper and is right above the pencil tool). Click the tool on the colour in the picture that you want to match. Then click on "Colors" (in the tool bar) and "edit colors". Then click "Define Custom Colrs". Your selected colour should be there along with the RGB code.

I love this idea! Unfortunately I am drawing a blank as to how to decide which piece should get which color. Is there a list like that? Like, breaking down the character and the layers with the RGB for each?
