I AM GOING CRAZY THIS MACHINE IS STILL ASKING ME FOR FIRM WARE UPDATE AND I HAVE UPDATED DOZENS OF TIMES AND IS STILL ASKING ME THE SAMETHING!!!! I AM GOING CRAZZY!!!

Mine did this too....

Make sure you restart your computer and the mini. I had to do this for the message to go away.

PS I don't read instructions or reference the manual until later, I wing it....so I would check the instructions Mercy posted if mine suggestion doesn't work.

Hi, Mercy!Thank you for your reply. I tried calling customer support couldn'tget thru it was very hard. : ( i also clicke don the link you suggested but for the ccr and is sayng tryin to connect to the device ( for the pas 5 minutes) do i leave it alone? or should I unplugg my cricut mini or close the sync and try again? i don't know what to do?

Same problem here. Been tring sence Tuesday and DH even tried it is Provo craft and not us. I'm getting very angry with them.

OMG Diane! it's driving me insane! I have been trying since saturday and i'm like getting very upset with this cricut! it's wearing my patience off! unbelivable!

I just got hung up on again. Angry AngryI think they have a timmer on the phone and are not answering them. I don't think they care about us just getting our money. I have bought many of thier machines but so sorry I got this one. Sure hope they get it fixed soon or maybe we can take a class action case out on themBigGrin LOL BigGrin After all they are supposed treat people right.

yes!!!! every time I called i got a busy signal then when I got through the dumb phone system doesn't even acknowledge the prompt choices you make! Angry Angry It's very upsetting!!! I was so excited to this machine it's my first one ever, and I am so disappointed.Sad Sad

PC is extremely busy and it is going to be long delays. The best time to call is never on a Monday. Try to call early in the morning. What is the status of the update? If you still cannot get the Mini updated, Please answer the below questions.

What is your OS?

What browser are you using?

What is your anti-virus protection that you are using?

If you have a Gypsy, make sure it is not connected to the computer.

I am not aware of a browser name yahoo. In any case, switch to Internet Explorer 8 to see if that makes a difference. Let us know the outcome.

Your anti-virus is probably the problem. You need to go into your anti-virus settings to find your Exceptions Lists. Select Programs/folders, Add button, when prompted, select Browse.

Navigate to and select the folder :
"C:\Program Files\CricutSync"
(or on 64 bit systems "C:\Program Files (x86)\CricutSync").

You should then see the CricutSync folder in the list.
*Please note that "(x86)" in Program Files folder is only present on 64 bit systems.
Select Apply then OK.

IMPORTANT:
Restart the computer for the exception list changes to take place.0

Let us know the outcome because if it does not work, then PC suggests that you contact your antj-virus company as I am not allowed to tell you to turn off your anti-virus as others might suggest it to you.Smile

There are also other programs on your computer that could interfer as well.

Check to be sure you have Adobe Air at least 2.7 but 3.0 or higher is preferred.
