I just got my Cricut for Christmas and I'm unsure how this specific cartridge works. I know with the art cartridge you put it in and the artwork comes up on the screen. How do I get the colors and patterns to appear??

You have to have a piece of art on the screen. If you aren't using a cricut cartridge, use one of the stock image from the imagine machine, like the heart, etc. and then it will pull up the patterns from the Industrial Glow cartridge. You choose with pattern you want to fill the heart with. It confused me at first too.

I also want to add that once you update your machine (cricut sync) you will have a 4th icon on your imagine that allows you to print a full sheet of paper from these cartridges. Once you have the update & insert the colors/patterns cartridge they will appear on screen. I highly recommend updating especially if you have any of the original cartridges as my imagine wouldn't read all of them until I updated.
