I love your swaps! I'm in!BigGrin Assuming the standard, of course... that someone will ship to Canada. All Christmas theme?

ETA: Ah. Now I see where it says "holiday". I'm seriously sleep deprived. The kids & I are all sick and we hosted our Thanksgiving dinner here tonight.

Hi Ladies ! Yes, we have lots of wonderful ladies who will ship to Canada and luckily this is a pretty lightweight envelope one...

I am making it an "all Christmas" but you can request that your partner make something else, like all birthdays if you want. I wanted to keep this one simple. Gift cards are optional...Just a matching bag and tag or Box & tag are required. Mix & match if you want.

I like to think I am having a "people pleaser" swap here ! BigGrin Love

Barb, I would love to join this round also. I had so much fun with the last round and can't wait to see what everyone creates this time around.

I hope you are feeling better, I too have fibromyalgia so I know how bad the flares up can be, it seems to take so long to get some energy back, so try to slow down and take it easy.

Good Evening ladies,
Sorry I have been slow in getting things in order... my DH and I keep taking turns getting sick or having attacks of pain that put us out of commission for a day or so until the meds kick in. I think it is the change of weather causing some inflammation in my body...I usually manage to pull out of it in a couple of days, but I am used to it now after years of Fibro...I dont let it stop me completely, although it TRIES !! Flapper
Thanks for all the newbies ! I love to increase my "Cricut family" ....the more the merrier.

Will check back again tomorrow and look for more peeps !! Laugh Love

Hello!
I'd like to join, but a few questions?
Would I make a bag,tag and card x3? all different? And if I make a box how do I mail it? Can I mail it unfolded/ glued? Also is the theme for Christmas or my choice? Or do I ask my partner what they like? I don't have many cricut cartridges and want to make sure I can accommodate before I commit.
Sorry. Flapper

Hi Laura! This time around, I think we're just doing small bags and tags or small bags and boxes x 3 sets... If you want to send a card as well, that's optional. I haven't yet sent a box, because I'm unsure about mailing it and the cost of mailing from here is crazy (Canada Post really needs to review prices - it's usually cheaper to send something to the States than it is within our own country!). I've made a couple of sets for these swaps that didn't rely too heavily on a Cricut cut (I know, I know... but I used Cuttlebug on one instead, and the other was mostly circles that I stacked to make a snowman). And I don't think anyone would mind if your sets all used the same cartridge even. Come join us! I was really nervous the first time I did one of these, but they're a lot of fun!

WILL TRY TO HOLD OUT TONIGHT FOR JUST ONE MORE MEMBER TO MAKE IT AN EVEN 10.. IF NOT, THEN MAYBE SOMEONE IS WILLING TO MAKE 2 SETS ?

LauraA - Please send me your contact information...in a PM of course, name, addy, email and phone#.

Gift boxes can be small jewelry boxes that you have stashed away, or maybe a box from a coffee mug, or other small gift. THen you can cover it with all kinds of papers and embellishments and ribbons...whatever !! It is good to include at least one Cricut cut or Cuttlebug piece....but not a requirement....they can be bubble-wrapped and mailed in a padded envelope or small box and should not weigh more than 4-5 ounces...The idea here is to keep the postage to a minimum. I have received many swap items from wonderful ladies who pack things in a BIG Priority mail box and pay $11-$12. to mail it when they could have put it into a smaller package and mailed it Parcel post or even First Class..... If it is not breakable, or really COSTLY, then why pay all that extra postage out ?? Gift bags can be flattened down, but if you dont want the bows to be squashed, then pad them with bubble wrap, or do what I do - place 1/2 of a plastic outer shell from a Cricut cartridge over it to protect it, and then wrap tissue around the item to hold it in place...it will act like a "protective shell" ...It really works and adds almost no weight to the package.

Okay - So I hope this helps to answer some questions....ANd yes, I DO EXPECT you to post photos of your creations on this thread, as a "THANK YOU" to your partner...I am not trying to make life hard on anybody ! Flapper LOL

Get out your Cricut machine and SHARE THE LOVE !! Love Wub Woot ThumpUp

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the bags. (Just don't want to do it wrong Blushing ) I was at Ms this afternoon and thought I'd be able to pick up plain, handle gift bags to use but there was no 5" size. I measured the small ones and the bag itself is 4" tall with a 3" handle. I don't have either of the TBBM carts so is this size acceptable or should I figure something else out?

Thanks!

Yes Sharon - those are fine... I happened to have some 5" ones I got from Oriental Trading so I just used that as a guide... Hallmark has some also...but the idea here is to use small bags and keep the postage to a minimum. Remember you can also use small gift boxes.
I am being real easy to get along with on this one !! LOL You know how cranky I usually am Glare So I have turned over a new leaf ! (found some mold under the old one !)

Hi Joysee - we're in/have been in enough swaps together, it's about time we got partnered up!BigGrin

What are you preferences? I like vintage Christmas using darker reds/greens/off white/browns OR clean & crisp light blue/white Winter themes. I prefer bags over boxes but can find a use for boxes if you prefer. Your choice and I prefer to be surprised! Smile

Hi Jackie ! I have been in a lot of swaps that you have been in, but I didnt think we had ever had the opportunity to trade with one another...so here we are at last !
It sounds like you are really easy to please (gooody goody !)BigGrin I would love to make 3 bag sets for you and some cute little tags too ! All 3 will be different designs.
I would like to have a box and 2 bags if you can. If you dont already have a box in your stash though, dont go to any extra expense. All bags would be fine as well... I am going to make a few boxes to have for demos and post pics.
I hope you like Graphic 45 !! Something tells me you will see some of that in your future ..
Have a great week and I will talk with you again soon !

Hi Barb, It's a pleasure being partnered up with you. I was about to ask you what you'd like but I got my question answered from the post above. WoW ! You are sooo fortunate to have been able to go to an SB Expo...I have always wanted to go to one of those ~ Last year there was one near me in Orlando but I couldnt attend due to circumstances beyond my control...I hope to have another chance soon.
Christmas is so much fun because there is NO end to what you can create for it !

What colors do you like ? Do you have a Christmas 'theme' that you decorate with ? I tend to have a little bit of EVERYTHING in my house and on my tree...and the gifts are all wrapped in different papers. I dont like a "MONOTONE" CHristmas ! Nope !! NOt for me... I see people with their "martha Stewart" everything all in the same color decor and I think "pretty but BORING !" Ha HA Laugh Flapper
