Melissa, This update does not include the Gypsy linking. We are working on it and do understand what an important update this will be. Thank you for your patience!

I am very reluctant to update - already had to go back to previous version due to all the problems with the 161 update, and from what I've read on Cricut's Facebook wall, people are having the same issues with this update, like not even being able to get in, or things taking soooooo long, having to close out of CCR and log back in continually. These are all the things that were going on in 161 - why did you release an update with the SAME challenges? So frustrating....

I am having trouble with the update. Craft Room is frequently freezing and it keeps pausing in the middle of cutting, so I have to go back and cut the thing a few times until it is finally cut. It also keeps saying that there is a problem with my Imagine. I have a Cricut Expression 2 and that is what it is set to in Craft Room. Please help!

I'm thinking about doing the CCR update, but I have a question -

After I update to the latest CCR version will I have to do a firmware update on my Create? Frankly, I'm scared to death of updates, but I'd really like to use CCR with my Create. Has anybody tried it yet? Did you have to do any updates to your machine?

After I updated CCR, when I try to launch it all I get it initalizing Cricut Craft Room. I didn't keep a copy of the previous version that I had (my bad), so now I am stuck. Can anyone offer me any suggestions on how to get this up and running again?

Hello,

We appreciate you forwarding on that information. It does sound like your antivirus may be interfering with our program. We would like to recommend contacting your antivirus provider to make sure that our programs are added to the exception list including CCRBridge.exe, Cricut Sync, Cricut CraftRoom, as well as Adobe Air. We hope this information helps.

If you do this and are still having problems I have included the link to the previous build below:

http://craftroom.cricut....Cricut-CraftRoom_151.dmg
http://craftroom.cricut....Cricut-CraftRoom_151.exe

Thanks Cricuit Dani,

Once I added the above programs to the exception list everything worked fine.
Thanks again for your help!

I have uninstalled, reinstalled both CCR and Adobe AIR and I still cannot get access to CCR. I have even uninstalled my antivirus software and the program still won't work. I have tried this with the newest version of CCR and the older version that was referenced above. Any other suggestions to get this to work?

I'm getting desperate to get CCR to work for my nephew's 1st birthday party Crying

Thanks for any help!

I finally got around to doing this update but now that I'm working with silhouette studio and see how responsive it is, CCR just seems like it's so slow and hit or miss. At first I thought it was just me and my less than stellar abilities...but I am a rock star in SS...so it must just be that your CCR program is crummy.

I can't get any version to run! The new one won't initialize & the old one keeps giving runtime errors! Why does this have to be so difficult?!

I too cannot get CCR to work and talk about being totally frustrated. I have set my settings in Norton Internet Security to allow and still it sticks at the initialization. I have tried installing the old version 151 and it won't run either. Mad

Hey Cricut-eers!

I have an Expression 1 and have been using the CCR this evening (California time) and I get an "update" message to update firmware for my cricut machine to run better with CCR. So...of course...I update. I see it's a three part update and it has been 45mins and it's still on part one of updating. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this issue? I'm half tempted to turn off and start fresh. Confused

Any feed back will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. Smile

I too am having this problem. I try to open CCR and it just stays on the ''loading'' C, and says ''initializing''.

Any Help would be appreciated.

What is the version for the New Craftroom update? Since I have had numerous issues in the past, I am hesitant. However, when I looked at the version info today, it indicated v. 1 Build 179 (which I don't recall installing). However, it has now at least opened and I haven't been able to do that with my Win7 Dell, since the software was installed in September.

I'm wondering about this update too....I'm still on the 132 build (the last one before it stopped working on the imagine). I'd love to update, but I want CCR to work properly on my imagine (like it does with build 132).

Second day in a row that I can't get CCR to work. Why do I use this program? Someone remind.

If your have Windows 7 and McAfee follow these instructions and give CCR full access

Adding an application to the McAfee Personal Firewall Program Permissions list

Environment

Affected Suites:
Total Protection 2010, 2011
Internet Security Suite 2010, 2011
AntiVirus Plus 2010, 2011

Affected Products:
Firewall

Affected Operating Systems:
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Windows 7

NOTE: If you are unsure what version of the McAfee Security software you have installed, please see article TS101107.

Summary

This article provides information to assist you in creating an access rule for an application in the Program Permissions list requiring Internet access through your Personal Firewall.

Problem

Typically, McAfee Personal Firewall will prompt you to accept or refuse an application's attempt to access the Internet. When you make your selection, a rule is created by the Firewall to enforce your choice.

If an application does not have a rule allowing it to access the Internet, your Personal Firewall will block the application to protect your computer.

Solution

Double-click the M icon in your taskbar.
Select the Web and Email Protection drawer.
Click the Firewall Link.
Select the Program Permissions drawer.

NOTE: 2011 customers will open the Internet Connections for Programs drawer.

Scroll through the listing and find CCR
Set the access type to full using the provided options in the Access drop down menu.
Click Save.
Close SecurityCenter.

Hope this helps someone!!

I thought changing the settings on my McAfee would allow CCR to working. But now when I try to open the program, it shuts down my computer. I may never get this project/gift done before the Holidays.

PC has many CS reps that are more than willing to help people resolve their issues with CCR. You just need to call them. If one "thing" doesn't work, they have another "thing" to try and so forth until the problem is resolved. But, they want you on your computer to try the "things" that may fix the problem while they are talking to you. They can even gain remote access to your computer to troubleshoot.

The message board is set up for crafters and lots of them will try to help. But without knowing what is on your computer and what you have tried and such, all we can do is post possible solutions. If those don't work, there isn't anything else we can do. But if you call PC, CS has other options.

No, we still can't link any carts that are already linked to our Gypsy. Bored
