x-post - HELP!!!!! I need to cut some chipboard I found lying around my craftroom. I want two simple rectangles for a journal cover. It is pretty thick chipboard. I was using my E2 - and the deep cut blade and multi=cut on 3 = blade on 3 pressure 3. Well, it cut the shape 3 times - each cut just about a 1/4 inch farther out from the first cut! It also didn't even cut all the way through. Anyone else have this trouble??

The journal is for my DD for her birthday - I was going to use cereal boxes instead of chipboard but was afraid they wouldn't hold up over time and wear.

Thank you all for your help!!

BigGrin i got this info from the material cutting guide for the e2 machine

chipboard (1.50mm)

blade depth 6
pressure 4
speed (medium) 3
multi-cut 3

cut w/the deep cut blade

i love this material guide!! i printed it out and its my bookmard for my user guide; i also had the same idea to use cereal boxes but way too flimsy...local craftstore has the best deal on chipboard ---- i just cut it up a few days ago and it worked like a dream---i used it to give some heft to refrig magnets and it DOES!!
