I need help...I just started using craft room and I am making favors using Tags, Bags, and More. When I cut out the purse it doesn't fit correctly when folded and put in position. Any idea why? Also I am trying to get rid of those stupid folding cuts. I used Hide Contours but then it won't cut.Basically it's a mess. I was so excited to finally have craft room and I am about to give up and just cut with the Cricut.

Did you place layers on the mat? Does the purse have layers? Did you resize any of them before you placed ALL the layers on the mat? If you resize ANYTHING before all layers are placed on the mat (in other words, you do need to resize everything at the same time), they won't match.

I went out and pulled the two layers of the PURSE2 on the mat. They are exactly the same size.

That purse doesn't have layers. It does have different options for the ribbon holes for the handle or with a window. I've made lots of that little purse and I think the problem might be that you have to score the sides at an angle {see screenshot}. Also, to get rid of the score marks, weld a small shape to the edge, make sure it touches the edge, and the score marks will disappear.

You're right, Scrapalette; I always think of two sides as layers. Of course, when the sides are identical, they wouldn't be called layers. Thanks for catching! - Char
