OK, so here is what I have been up to. Here are some Christmas cards I have been making. The holly background paper on most of them is from some pieces of Christmas stationary that I had for years and years, it made making these cards a bit quicker. Some do not have any Cricut but I thought I would share with you anyways

The one of the left has the Noel cut from the Christmas Noel cartridge.

The one of the left I cut the branches out using the Pagoda cartridge then added some from the MS punch. My punch is way to hard to punch to make too many of these.

These are stickers and rub-ons

Will be back to post a few more.

LOTS of wonderful cards so far. I'll be back to comment on them. Here are the cards I've finished so far. This is Sketch #1. I wanted to use that ribbon so I had to flip the card. Papers are from an older Debbie Mumm stack.

Dee

I just realized that the Spell Check is working again!!!! BigGrin

Here's my Sketch #2. I also flipped the card to get the 3 circles to fit. The deer were cut from a piece of patterned paper from my stash. The other paper is from MME Christmas Pad. This also uses the Ad Colors.

Here is Sketch #3. The brown kraft paper is from Recollections and one layer is embossed with the "Script" CB folder. The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's "Old World Winter." I'm not sure who makes the twine.

Here is my Sketch #4. The paper is from an old stack of cheap paper called "Holiay Cheer." The stamps is House Mouse. Not sure if you can tell but there is Glossy Accent on the candy. It's also done in the Ad Colors.

Thanks, Dee

Hello gang!

I just mailed out the first set of Christmas cards (30+) and still have a few more to make.

Raquel – Thanks for hosting…again! Really appreciate all of your efforts! Great sketches and hope to play along. What a lovely card for Sketch #2 – love the sentiment and the embossing shows up so nicely on your card! That is such a wonderful extra credit tag…very smart to slip in a gift card on the other side of the tag!

Dee – thanks for the ad colours! I do like that combination! Beautiful sketch #1 and such a pretty poinsettia with the swirls! Wonderful deer card in the ad colours! Love the vintage feel of Sketch #3! Cute card for Sketch #4 and could not tell that you used cheap paper!

Turtlebug – What a great card for a cook! Love how you made the slippers stand out with the glitter! Your tags turned out really well! That’s next on my to-do list! Wonderful card for Sketch #1 – great choice of papers and layering! You’ve been really busy!

Sandy – Great Charlie Brown card – always love the colouring of your images. Nice choice of background paper and snow border! TFS the snowman card – I can’t believe you’re starting next year’s set already! Way to go!!

Carrottop - Woohoo! You’re done your cards! Love the mittens and swirls around the hot mug!

BingoLady - love the paper choices for your birthday card for Sketch #1. Great card for a bowling fan for Sketch #2!

Sue = what an adorable snowman! Sounds like a fun card for a youngster! The image stands out so nicely against the dark background! Those are 2 pretty Christmas cards! Love the poinsettia/flower accents!

Donna – what a wonderful assortment of Christmas cards! Nice use of the Noel from the Chritmas cart! The MS branch punch is a well loved tool in my house! Great choice of background papers! I like how you used the white and embossed it at times! They all look great! The blue and white cards really stand out too. They all look so good! Glad you’re having fun with your newest toy – some really nice cuts!

Britishgirl – love the angel and the vellum looks really good! Great tag!

Raquel thanks. The sketches look awesome. Getting on this one late I see. I changed my browser today back to regular google. So when I get a card completed I'll try and post but for this one I'll try and post my old card from last challenge just to see if changing the browser worked as they suggested for me to do. :)

Hey, ladies. Go glad to see you all are still on the go, supporting one another.

The boards have been really slow. So to let any who would want to know -- and who wouldn't -- that I've put up a new post on my blog. Usually I'd post in my groups, but it's been so slow I'm afraid it might get missed. It's on hair color combos.

http://sweetpea1030.blogspot.com/

I'll be happy to go over and look at your blog if you're posting during this slooowww period. It can be disheartening to want to keep it up and have no one come by. TIA

I know, I sound really pathetic....LOL

Keep up the good work, I am always inspired by what you all post here. You guys are still the best forum around ever.

Hi everyone. Its been way to long for me. I've been working on my 2013 calenders.

I finally got one finished and almost have the other done. I've posted the finished one onb my blog if you guys care to take a look. I start out simple, but by the time I'm done it isn't.

I finally was able to get my first Christmas card done. I used the free cut in ccr (When its cold out side). I cut the snowflake @3" I used some stickle to give it some shine. I mounted it onto a Rosette. I embossed my base card with the snowflake cuddlebug folder. The ribbon was in my Stash. The Merry Christmas is from the MS Seasonal Cake art cart. It sort of looks like sketch 3 maybe?
I'm going to post it then I will come back and comment.

Before I comment I want to show you my sleigh ornaments that I made for my grandsons. I totally scraplifted this idea from Tanya Nonna's Craft Corner. I used the Teddy Bear Parade cart. I love this cart. I use it alot. I used Kate's ABC's for the letters and sized them in the ccr. I got the sleds from M's for a $. I then painted the sleds. The bears are cut at 4.25"
The snowmen at the bottom are buttons that I had in my stash.

Rachael I love your sample card. I love the color. I love the embossing folder that you used.I love the tag and the colors just makes it pop.
Sandy I like the Peanuts and Snoopy card.

DeeScraps thanks for the ad colors. Love your cards for sketch 1 and 2. I love the vintage look of your sketch #3. I love the House Mouse Stamps I only have a couple of them.

Britishgirl I love the idea of using gold vellum for the wings on your angel card.

Turtlebug. I like the colors that you used on your friends birthday card. I like your tags that you made.

Bingo Lacy I really like all our cards, but I really like the first one.

Across the pond Love the snowman card. What a clever idea on the Christmas tree cards. They are so Pretty.

Donna I love the pattern paper that you used on your cards. i really like the blue cards. They are so Pretty.

Here are my ornaments. I hope to be able to make the other sketches if nothing gets in the way.

My DH does have testing to do. I know that most of you don't know that he was diagnosed a year ago with stage4 lung cancer with a small tumor on the brain and kidney. The radiation shrunk the one in the brain and the chemo killed the one on the kidney. the main tumor in the lung has shrunk. Going to rerun the test on Monday and then we will know whats what on the 17th.

BingoladySorry you are having trouble viewing my site. Not sure what the problem is though as I'm seeing it just fine. What browser are you using Bingolady? I was having major problems with Google Chrome and finally took it off and now things appear to be fine again. So I'm wondering if it is not your browser that's the problem especially if you use Google Chrome. I hate google. I've had so many problems with it lately. I'm so sorry you couldn't see it. :(

Hi Ladies,
Had trouble with Photobucket freezing up on me last night and couldn't upload my card and gift tags. Went Christmas shopping ALL day today and am just now (11:30pm!) signing in to the MB. Hope I can get my card to post. Will be VERY busy tomorrow, so will be back on Sunday to post my comments on all the great stuff already on here.

Card Sketch #2:
Embossing - Cuttlebug "Snowflakes" folder
Create Joy - Beyond Birthdays Cartridge
Image - Cut from a full sheet from "All Seasons" Recollection stack. I added tiny red gems to the buttons and silver glitter to the "snow".
The middle border I used white lace and three gold snowflake metal Brads. Misted the embossing with gold Pearl Mist....wish I hadn't, not happy with the way it looks. I should have used the glitter glue here and there, instead.

Happy weekend everyone! I've been keeping myself busy decorating the house for Christmas. I actually put up all the Christmas lights around the house and bushes for the first time on my own! It was fun... a pain on the high parts of the roof but it turned out nice!

I have extension cords running all over the place Blushing
