Did anyone make any New Year's Resolutions Crafty or otherwise?

I resolve to cut back on my crafty spending.

I also resolve to get caught up on my scrapbooking for my GD pages.

At least she is young yet that I'm only 2 yrs. behind. LOL

I normally don't make resolutions but wanted to give this a try for 2013.

Happy New Year Everyone!! Good luck with your resolutions!

My one and only resolution this year is to up my exercise. Hoping that will help with the weight loss that I need.

No scrapbooking resolutions. Just keep doing what I'm doing.

To utilize the cartridges that I bought and have never used. I own several cartridges that have never been used. I plan to use them in new projects and challenges.

I have several cartridges that I haven't used yet either.

I need to put that on my list for 2013 of things to do for the year.

I think that I'm going to make a list of things I would like to do for 2013.

I think that would keep me motivated to use my stash. BigGrin

I don't keep them so I don't make them. LOL

I really would like to get more scrapbooking done this year, though. However, that might be difficult. I have a DD getting married in March and another gettting married in July. I think I will be taking more pictures then scrapping them.

I need to lower my cholesterol. I've been eating fried chicken since I had teeth. I'm a walking fat globule.

So, I'm going to start taking niacin and fish oil. Exercise is out. I hate it, and won't do it. I'd much rather take a pill.

I try not to make resolutions, but try to set goals, but I guess they are sort of the same thing - lol.

First I am going to get back to putting me first. I was doing pretty good for a while with changing my lifestyle and loosing weight. I did allow myself to indulge in the holidays. So now it's time to get back to it.

Next I need to go through my crafting supplies as well as my household and personal items and purge. I need to give away or donate items that are older, never used or perhaps tried and didn't care for. I would like to know that everything has a place so I can spend less time looking for things. For this to happen I need to make space.

I would also like to give back more. I adopt a soldier to write to and send packages to. When one comes home I adopt another one. I love doing swaps, learning new things and chatting with others and will still do some. But I think I want to get back into making cards for soldiers too.

I see these are reasonable goals. Maybe that's the key, to set goals that I know I can accomplish - lol.

I don't make resolutions because I feel awful when I fail.
I did decide to do One Little Word tho. My word is acceptance. I need to accept things better. Like in the Serenity Prayer.
I do want to start posting my projects more and work on my blog. But those two aren't have to's. lol!

I have a TON this year!

Get more organized-the house, bills, photos, etc.

Scrap more-I did about 2 whole pages last year. Sad.

Run some races and work on fitness.

Get better about my vegan/clean eating. No more cheating!

Stop paying so much attention to current events and politics-America is doomed with this current administration in my opinion and I might as well stop worrying about what I can't personally change.

Be a better wife and mom.

Yup, I've got my work cut out for me this year! lol Wish me luck :)

I was looking into doing One Litte Word project and the happiness project. I'm still learning more about these to see if it is something I have time to do.

What I do at the beginning of the year is just make a list of goals for the year for myself.
If I accomplish them thats great. But, if I don't and would still like to achieve that goal then I continue it on to the next coming year. So this is a no fail system.
Resolution is a strong word. But with my twist in making a list of goals the term isn't so heavy for me. If I get off track during the year I have my list to fall back on. It reminds me of the things I would like to accomplish. Some things on the list are more easily accomplished then others. It is more of a guide to focus on things I would like to see happen in the New Year.

Here is an example of the goals I want to set for this year.

-Use My Stash
-Cut back on my Crafty spending
-Think positive thoughts
-take crafting classes
-Get caught up on my GD scrapbooks
-Keep a healthy life style physically and emotionally.
-eat more fruits and veggies
-drink less coffee
-drink more water
-go for 10 min. walks. Longer if weather permits.
-Keep my Scrap room clean so it is more enjoyable to create in
-Finish my Dec. Daily book.
-Finish my Wedding album
-Start on a Military album

This is a good start. I will add more as I think of things.
