Hello, newbie here, glad I found this place!
I just ordered my first Cricut, the ex2. It hasn't arrived yet but while I'm waiting I'm eager to turn my office into a crafting room. What size table size should I aim for, minimum width & length, so I can open it up & use it with ease?

Thank you in advance.

I estimate from measuring my machine and blade position, a space that would allow you to use it without having to move the machine each time you cut is about a 24" x 24", this give a little wiggle room but not much. The mat feeds from the front and as it cuts feeds out the back of the machine and then comes back to front to unload when finished. If you have a full page cut you will need about an 8-10" clearance in the back. If you use the 24' mat of course you will need to have space to move your machine to accomadate a deeper mat feed.

I use ccr with a laptop and have my machine on a desk turned sideways to the left of my laptop so the space behind my machine is open ended with no obstruction.

hope this helps

oh I should add that my machine is the original expression but I think the e2 and original are about the same size.

so how do you like your cricut? have you made many things yet? Did ya get your scrap area done? I have a table coming out from the wall in the middle of the room and I have my cricut set toward the edge so I don't have to worry about it hitting the wall when cutting.
