I have windows 8 and downloaded the ccr but it doesn't come up. Maybe it is because I am using Windows 8. Does anyone else have windows 8 and are able to use it? I didn't connect my cricut yet to the computer. Just seeing what the ccr is like.

Hello! There are several posts explaining this in more detail, but you have to run Cricut Craft Room in compatibility mode when using Windows 8. You will need to close Craft Room, the right click on the Icon. Then choose Properties. From Properties click on the compatibility tab, check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", then use the drop down box to choose Windows 7. Remember to click apply to finish!

I hope this helps!

Thanks Gena. I did what you suggested but now the drivers have a error when trying to install.

I was just reading on down in the post and I guess Norton is a problem for ccr so that could be my issue too. Maybe once I get rid of Norton on this computer and get my regular anti virus up and running it may work. New computer and Norton came with it. Thanks again!

I would't get rid of NORTON.

I have used NORTON for the past three years; it has served me very well.

There are instructions (look for some posts in the back pages here...Narelle has given some instructions and/or call PC and have them help you with it) that tell you how to get NORTON and CCR working together.

Actually, I didn't have to follow those instructions to the "T". I just had the newer version of NORTON 360 installed on three computers.....and both computers (I use one for MINI and the other for EXPRESSION) are working good.

I got it up now but haven't tried to cut with it yet. Too late at night so maybe tomorrow I will get a chance. It wasn't Norton that gave me trouble. I checked the firewall and it was allowing the CCR. Here I needed to right click the icon and run as administrator. Thanks again to all that helped me out.
