Happy Family Day! We will be staying inside today - we're back to the dreaded -40's again.
I bit the bullet and bought a copy of a third party software program that allows me to use my cricuts without carts. If you are interested, shoot me a PM. I am LOVING it! Love I am attaching my first project using it.
Joy Good to hear you DH has his own room now. You really don't want to risk any more complications!
Sharon Good for you trying out the kick boxing. You may feel the burn tomorrow - sometimes it takes 48 hours to set in.
Shelly Welcome home.
Nancy What a wonderful blessing Abby has become! Although I'm sure your cricuts are jealous!
Jenny If only we could get your picture technique to work on our bodies. Work on that for us, OK?!Flapper
Michelle Welcome to you!
Take care all

She is starting to get hooked on Cricut. Borrowed another cartridge today she is seeing how useful the cricut is.Then she shared some stamps with me I said this is a money saving day.

She is quite a SU collector loads of stamps. She does beatiful work.

Well hoping everyone has a good day/night

Hi all.

Laura, I can't get the pic open either, and I am even using Firefox. But I am glad you are enjoying yourself!

Nancy, so nice you had a fun morning stamping and crafting.

DH came home. He called this morning right before I was leaving the house and said he had been released. He is moving very very very very very slowly, but that is OK. I told him his belly looks like Frankenstein's neck!!! He has 24 staples and his incision is about six inches long. If not seven.

If I don't start tonight, I will start pinning on dress patterns to get them cut out tomorrow. FINALLY.

I found us on the bottom of page 2, so I will post again.

I "slept" on the couch last night so I could be close to DH in the recliner. Dozed was more like it. Not a whole bunch of sleep. Someday I will sleep again.

My DH is so sweet. In the midst of his pain, he made an appointment for me to get a massage tomorrow.

We made it walkinng around the block this morning. It is pretty cool. I snowed this morning. It did not stick, but things are wet. DH does not move too fast.

I am hoping I can start pinning on patterns this afternoon. I keep saying that, but just have not gotten it done. And I have a school board meeting tonight. And tomorrow night. And Thursday night. Glare

Nancy, I have not forgotten about the cards, I just have not had any time!!!

I am thoroughly enjoying my week break! DH isaway at work most of the day and DD is nearing teenage years, so she doesn't appear from her bed until about lunch. Busy with my crafty stuff. Would have been so nice to have the paper for the wedding invites, so I could get started. But I am enjoying puttering.
Joy What a hard time for you both. One day at a time. Praying for you both.
Take care

Well today was my first full day in my new school position & it didn't go too bad. I just got my hair pulled pretty hard, once. Then one of the boys threw up everywhere, but thankfully not on me (as I was sitting next to him at the time), just on himself. So an eventful & stressful day, but not too bad.

I am debating on going to a spin class tonight, but depends on if my DH will come to the gym with me. I don't want to go alone today. If not I will spend the night in, maybe even take a nice hot bubble bath. I am stressed so need to destress somehow!

Laura, I can finally see your creation. It looks like it is printed right into the card! Looks good.

Sharon, my vote is for the bubble bath. Get rid of the vomit smell that is in my nose by readiing your post! I have found some bath salts at Wally's that I just LOVE. Euclyptus/spearmint. All the girls use them in our family. Relaxing fragrance.

And I know that I did not spell eu . . . . .correctly. But I just didn't go look it up.

Hi everyone!

Laura - finally today I can see the picture. Very nice! I don't know what it up with the MB lately. Most of the time I just see the red X where a picture should be and then yesterday there would be the blue box where the picture (or red X) should be and nothing, just blank.

Joy - Sure hope your DH gets feeling better. So nice to give you a massage. I'm sure you can use it with everything you have on your plate right now! I think cutting out the dresses is half the battle. GOOD LUCK!

Nancy - Sounds like you had a fun time crafting with your friend!

Sharon - Ahhhh, a bubble bath sounds WONDERFUL! I would vote for that. Sometimes you just need to do something like that for yourself to relax! Whatever you do, enjoy!

Went shopping with my oldest DD. We spent a couple hours browsing through JoAnns today. It was so much fun! Spent too much money, but had a good time together. She's been sort of depressed lately with her job situation, and her sisters announcing their pregnancies. She wants to be married, but just hasn't found anyone. She wants a family. So it was nice for us to get out today and just talk and have fun together.

Shelly, I completely understand this. Our oldest is having a bit of a hard time with her two younger sisters getting married. She is almost 28, and she hasn't found anyone either. She is aggressive at work (which she needs to be working in a male world) but at home and just out and about, she is shy and quiet.

Well today wasn't too bad I guess. I didn't get my hair pulled at least. I did have a different student sitting next to me throw up though today. What is with these kids & puking?! lol

Also found out that from now on (except on tuesdays when they have gym) I will be going to 8th Grade Social Studies during 3rd period. Went today & that was different. There are 2 kids that are classified in the class, so kind of have to keep an eye on them, but she told the rest of the class that if you need help raise you hand & if I cannot get to you then Mrs I can help. Oh boy. They were studying the judicial system & especially about the supreme court. I was totally lost, thank goodness nobody asked me for help today! lol

I am just not happy with my job now. :( They are very sweet kids, but not what I want to be doing every day & 8th grade is waaaay out of my league. I interviewed for a kindergarten position, so this is so different.

I told Paul he needs to find a higher paying job so I can be a stay at home mom!

I was also exhausted last night, so was crashed in bed by 6.30pm! Well today I am feeling pretty much the same, soooo tired.

Not sure if it is because I have ben trying to do a liquid diet (protein shakes, jello, soup, water etc.) yesterday & today, or the new job position. Or a combination of both. But I am exhausted again!

Oh my goodness, Sharon, there is a HUGE difference between 8th grade and kindergarten. Hmmmm.

I am exhausted, but I know why. I think DH woke up every hour, and woke me up to help him. I did not get much sleep.

He has a dr's appointment in about 45 minutes to check on his progress.

Got two dresses almost cut out between helping DH and getting a massage, which was lovely.

Hi everyone,

Quiet today on the MB's...

I had a busy day today finally went bowling after missing 2 weeks and bowled so good.
the went for my results of my physical and it was all good.

Cholestrol way down and lost another couple of pounds and my blood sugar was also low.

I think I need to lose another 10 pds. which I think would be hard because i don't look like I need to lose I am tall so it doesn't show but she said it would really bring down the blood pressure and the cholestrol. So we will see.. i told her i am eating healthier so I will just continue and hopefully lose a little more.

Cold and windy today lost of rain coming the weekend.

Joy.. Glad you enjoyed your massage and hoping DH gets better soon

Sharon... sounds like you need some food..that why you are tired!
8th grade will be so much harder for you.. good luck with that

Shelly.. nice you went shopping with DD and spent money that is always fun especailly at JoAnn's

Laura.. nice photo glad you are enjoying the new program

Well have a good night all

Oh Joy don't worry about the challange.

Good Morning.

Nancy, maybe I can catch up by the end of April with the challenge! It really is a great challenge.

To add another layer to the busyiness around here (two layers) I went and looked at a possible new dog yesterday, and Megan has little itchy blisters on her abdomen.

The dog is a three year old yellow lab, girl, spayed and house trained. Her owner's husband passed away a few weeks ago from cancer and she has to move and has two littlel dogs and this one and she can't keep them all. I think we will be getting a new dog.

And Megan has this little tiny blisters on her this morning. I think they might look like chicken pox, excpet that she has already had chicken pox - twice! Megan and Kate have both had them twice. They had them when they were like three and five, and then again when they were in high school. She went to school to tidy up her desk, then she is going to try and get into the doc first thing. I can't imagine having them three times, but twice was so odd, too.

Megan does not have chicken pox, but some kind of bacterial infection. But I am positive that she and Kate had them twice, which is unheard of. Kate was diagnosed by a physician both times. And Megan the second time.

Hi everyone!! Hope everyone is doing well.

JOY - Glad Megan doesn't have chicken pox. First thing I thought of when you said it, was Shingles. Neither is fun. Hopefully this bacterial thing will go away quickly. Hope the dog works out for you, if that is what you want. How are the dresses coming? Hope DH is feeling better everyday, and you are able to get some sleep!!

Sharon - Wow! Kindergarten to 8th grade is a big, big difference. totally understand your frustration with your job situation! Hopefully it will work out, but its got to be hard! Good luck.

Nancy - Sounds like your dr visit went well! Glad your tests came back on the positive side. Sounds like your bowling is going great too.

Had my GS yesterday. What a BUSY little guy! Makes me wonder how I did took care of five kids. Of course they weren't all the same age, but he wears me out. Love him to death though!!

Have decided I need to go back on my diet! Over the past 3 1/2 years I took off 70 pounds. I didn't get down as much as I wanted. Over the winter I have gained a little of it back, so I am going to get it back off and see if I can get the other 10 pounds off. I got it off slowly over about a year and a half and kept it off until I got sick around the end of November. I have had a cold practically nonstop since, so I am blaming my weight gain on that, lol!

Have a great day everyone!!

Well I had an interview for a new job this morning! I applied to one job on wednesday night, 2 jobs on thursday before I went to school. Got a call yesterday from one of those jobs already!

It would be much closer to where I live plus would be preschool age kids (shadowing one boy who is being mainstreamed). So sounds really fun & have experience with that too. So keeping my fingers crossed, I will know in the next week if I have it or not.

I wasn't as tired yesterday & still was primarily doing the liquid diet, so not sure what was up on tuesday & wednesday. But boy was I tired then!

Tonight I am meeting up with a fellow sleever to go to a local casino. She also had the sleeve in May 2012 & we have chatted online since then, but never met up. So will be fun to meet up tonight!

I have beef stew cooking in the crockpot & it smells so good, so will have that for dinner tonight before I go out.

JOY - So glad Megan doesn't have chicken pox too! I hopet he bacterial infection goes away soon.

NANCY - Well done on the physical, that is great that your cholesterol & blood sugar was low. Always a good thing. Keep it up!

Hi everyone,

Sharon.. I hope you get the job you want... good luck. Enjoy your beef stew and have fun tonight

Joy.. so happy to hear Megan doesn't have chicken pox! How is DH feeling??

Shelly.. nice you watce your gs... they sure keep us on our toesBigGrin

Well after Abigail doctor appt. the other day they were concerned that she wasn't crawling.

She crawls but not on demand! well she came home she proved them wrong because she is crawling all over. Now Max barks at her because one minute she is on the other side of the room and before you know it she is on the other. Max is getting nervous now LOL

She claps hands... I think these doctors just want to push the testing for the $$$

Since this was bad timing for a Christmas Card Challange for Joy
We will extend the challange to April Joy give me a date???

For those of you who completed the challange do you still want to post your cards??

Mine are done..

What I will do is make another 5 each month.. If anyone else is interested it is a good way to get that head start on your Holiday Cards

so I have been watching for a while now... I just need 10 more pounds losing is hard but maintaining is even harder...

Good luck with it

Nancy, I am a bit behind with this, but glad your new meds are helping you feel better!

And I agree with all of the pregnancy/baby testing for dollars. TOO many tests!

Shelly, that is some excellent weight loss!!!! WOW!

Sharon, good luck your interviews! I just seems like you have not been doing what you were hired to do at your current place. 8th grade??? Really.

Kate did not crawl until she was one. She didn't have to. She had two older sisters to wait on her hand and foot. However, Jill was walking by nine months. She is still very competitive. And the funny thing is, Jill was two weeks before her due date, Megan was right on time, and Kate, who knows. I had a 30 day due date with her. But that is how they did things. Jill was always on the early side, Megan was in the typical time frame, and Kate has NEVER been in a hurry. Except weddings. LOL

DH seems to be feeling better this morning. Although he did get stronger pain meds yesterday. But they make him jittery. He is getting a tiny bit of cabin fever, though, so I think that is a good sign.

I said yes to the dog. So, Chevy will be coming to live with us either the end of next week or the beginning of the following week.

Nancy, how about 10 cards done by the end of April? It is not quite five a month, but I think I can get that done pretty easily. Again, I think your challenge is a GREAT idea. We've just been a little busy.

Hi girls...remember me? I've been reading along, but life was just too busy for me to get on the MB much.

Remember my husband's accident that happened back in January? I got his truck back last Thursday and the following Tuesday, I had an accident! It's a minor one, but some scrap metal was laying in the road and I had no option, but to hit it. It did quite a bit of scratching/light body damage to my car....huge bummer. So I'm in the middle of getting that process of repair going. It was enough that I had to submit it to insurance. Very bummed about that.

You might recall that I was thinking about having some painting done. Well...after painters being in my house for the last three mornings--they are done! Three bathrooms: one very bold green, one grey and one tan. Love them, so fresh and clean looking! But it's been keeping me from the gym since I've had to be home. Back at it next week. I've watched what I've been eating very closely this week so my calories don't creep with out being able to hit the gym.

Our fridge died too. We were able to repair it, but that happened in the middle of the last basketball tournament my son was in.

Add to the mix a science fair project. Need I say more? Yep, it's been a long start to 2013 at hour house.

Hope everyone is well!

Hi Sonya. Life certainly keeps us busy, doesn't it!!!! And when it rains, it pours.

Well I hope my Emily isn't getting sick. She woke up & said she has no energy & feels really tired. Definitely no fever, she feels fine. But will watch her today & see how she is.

Both the girls have Home Scientist trip this morning with brownies. Will see closer to the time if Emily wants to go or not.

Hi.

Sharon, I hope Emily is OK.

Busy day today. Kate and I have worship team practice, but before we go to practice, we have to take Kate's car to Merle's brother so he can do some work on it, since Merle can't.

And a bunch of errands after practice. Including getting the tuxes chosen and ordered. And taking Kate's dress in to get it ready for the wedding.

I ordered some really cute lamps that come with battery candles to put on the pews at church. They are something I can use for years to come, though.

It snowed a tiny tiny bit last night, and Nick just slid on the deck. It is icy.

Hopefully I get back to sewing this afternoon.

Yep, Emily is definitely sick. She just threw up twice, thankfully in the toilet bowl. Poor little thing!

They were going to go to this indoor jump place tonight with Daddy as they have a glow night. But that is off for Emily now & will see if he still takes Elise or not.

Oh & of course she is feeling so much better now she has thrown up! She is all peppy & stuff! She throws up & then says "can I have some water & some ham please?" LOL

I gave her water & tortilla chips, said they would be better for her tummy.
