Happy Heart Day!

Paula shame on you for playing hookie! Or did you. I did 45 of the fork bows in Florida for my mom. It works really well and makes pretty little bows.

Nancy I hadn't thought of Craigs list for getting rid of unwanted craft supplies. What a great idea! No pasta for me. Jim still has a bad cough and scratchy throat a week after the cold. Yuck I loaded up on Vitamin C, and echinacea tea.

Well I cooked a really good dinner tonight. Jim loved it. We had mushroom stuffed beef tenderloin with merlot sauce, almond green beans, and a side salad. Next up are dark chocolate covered strawberries with white chocolate swirls. And I am finishing off the bottle of Merlot I opened for the sauce or rather Jim finished it. I only have one glass.

Hope everyone had a very sweet day!

Good evening and happy Valentine's Day! Yes, my head is swirling with everything that is going on!

I worked until 7:00 tonight getting my sub plans written and everything ready for tomorrow. I still have to write plans for Tuesday, but I just had to leave. The lovely, wonderful custodian who was working tonight came by my room right at 7:00 and called to me through the locked door to tell me it was he so I wouldn't be scared when he opened the door. He was checking to make sure I was OK. In fact, I was just getting ready to leave, so he walked me all the way out to my car. I am going to send an email to his manager praising him. Our regular night custodian would NEVER in a million years do anything like that! He could care less if you are there or if your door is locked or anything else.

The day was crazy with the kids being so wired, but they were so sweet and lovely today. We passed out Valentines and they all went home with big bags full of cards and candy. They seemed very happy and that's all that counts! I got lots of candy and cards, stuffed animals, and a plant. I gave the candy away, kept the stuffed animals to donate later to a charity, and put the plant on my counter in the kitchen. I'm happy!

Well, overall, I have decided my job is getting in the way of my life. I cannot plan this wedding, spend time scrapping, read as much as I want, spend time with my friends, write what I want to, hang out with my husband, and declutter this house AND work....so something has to go...I've decided this job has to go. VERY SOON! It's time to count up the days. Right now, my next vacation begins on March 28...that's SIX more weeks! Woo-hoo! Then after a four week vacation, I will have eight more weeks of work. Altogether, that's 14 weeks of work, 60 days. That's do-able!

Yes, I agree with whoever said it...it will be very good to spend time with Sarah this weekend and talk over specifics of the wedding. She did select her venue for the reception so now, it's just the little things like invitations, flowers, a cake, etc. The big things are done. I'm relieved.

I've got to get moving here. I'm about half packed to go to Houston and need to finish up. I was waiting for the dryer to finish up and it should be about done.

Sorry about your cold, Nancy. Take care of yourself...gets plenty of rest...I know, it's easy for me to say. Carrie, sorry for the hassles with the cricut website. Pat, take care...don't spread yourself too thin. Rhonda, I hope you enjoy your work with the historical society. I'm sure you will! Laurie, keep truckin' with the work on your house! As for me...I hope we get a dress for Sarah and enjoy our visit. I'll try to check in and keep everyone posted!

good morning all. I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. We had a big salad and baked salmon with a rosemary citrus seasoning. I spent the day working on the box of cfs to be shipped on Monday. I have cards coming today that will need to be added.
I have also been working on my research. Discovered another tidbit for Harold and I am trying to figure out how to follow up on it. He is like a jigsaw puzzle and I keep finding pieces that have fallen on the floor.
Lizzy, I hope everything goes well in Houston and Sarah finds the perfect dress. Have a safe flight and enjoy this special time with her.
Paula, I had seen those "fork" bows on pinterest and tried a few. I found they were too bulky using grosgrain and the thicker satin ribbons, to use on cards. It was fun to try them though.
Carrie, sorry about the MB problems the other day. Seems like every time they do maintenance, it takes a day for everything to kick in. Very frustrating. Anyway, I hope you can get back to the Rome pages.
Nancy, Sorry the cold is hanging in there. I didn't do the headstones yesterday. We had gotten a heavy dusting of snow and while it melted off quickly, I didn't want to tromp through the wet ground. We have more chances of snow/rain this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow, so it might be Sunday. We wont get much accumulation, if any. I think I heard less than inch.
Laurie, how goes the purging and painting?
Rhonda, hope all is going well for you.

Good morning ladies!

The snow was melting but last night we got a layer of white. It looks like it is under an inch though so it proably won't last long.

Carrie, I have been watching Downton Abby like crazy! I am on season 3. I didn't think I would get in to it like this.
I did not go clean yesterday. It's not really playing hookie though because they are gone until the 25th and I just need to clean before then. I didn't want to do it too early but don't really want to leave it until the last moment. Maybe today. :)

It just started snowing again.

Lizzy, when you condense it down to 60 days it really does sound do-able!! I bet it feels good to have come to that decision too.
Enjoy your weekend! What a wonderful time...shopping for a wedding dress and taking care of the details for this special day.
How nice of the custodian to look out for you. Especially walking you out. A little kindness really goes a long way, doesn't it?

Pat, your salmon sounds yummy!
So another bit on info on Harold, great!

Nancy, good job getting some $$$ for things you weren't using.

Rhonda, what are you up to??

Laurie how are you doing on the house?

Carrie, sending you {{HUGS}} and prayers. I am so sorry about this setback.

Paula, our snow looks like is going to be east of us, so maybe we will just get a little rain. I spent the day so far doing laundry and working on cards. I used up a bunch of odds and ends cuts and the CCR freebies I got a couple weeks ago. This week they have 7 cards in the free cuts. I might try a few of them this weekend (they are good until next Wed). Includes envelopes, but I don't need those. I also worked on 2 cards for my tea group b-day swap. I still need to do the cuts for another one I want to try. It is kind of involved which is why I think I am avoiding it.
I was able to get a hairapy appointment for Tuesday. I will have to live with bangs in my eyes for a few days.

Sun keeps coming and going. I am going to put laundry away and make a mug of tea.

Good evening everyone.

Happy Weekend!

Paula, we had so much snow Wednesday. It was like a blizzard. close to 3 inches just in the morning. By afternoon it was all gone. Very weird.

Nancy, sorry about the cold. I didn't even think of craigslist. I've never done that. did the person who bought stuff live local so you didn't have to ship it?

Lizzy, enjoy the weekend with Sarah. 60 days is a cake walk!

Rhonda, what are you up to? Have you done any crafting lately?

Pat, I am finishing up my laundry right now...after midnight. I forgot I had done all my bedding and it was in the wash. Can't sleep without my favorite sheets LOL

The painting in the bathroom is done. I need to do a little touchups but done. I hit a brick wall though. We bought a new shower curtain rod and towel bar and toilet paper holder. We couldn't get the shower curtain to stay up. I got so frustrated! I only go in that bath to take a shower. Monday a guy is coming in to fix our bathroom floor...before I sit and falll through. We are replacing the toilet...might as well, we have to take it out anyway to fix the floor. We are going to Lowes to pick the flooring for both bathrooms. if we can find some decent priced tile, we will go with that. If not, it's linoleum. Our bathroom is 5x5 and the other is probably 7x5 so it's not so much that we will have to buy. I am hoping to have the other bathroom painted by Sunday afternoon. I'm so excited to get that bathroom floor finally done! We are having Lowes come in to measure the lr,kit and hall. We are doing Pergo in those rooms. Then we are going to have Stanley Steamer come in and clean the carpets in the 3 bedrooms and my scraproom. We are going to add some tile or linoleum in part of my scraproom. The carpet where Sadie comes in and out is bad soe we will tear part of it up. We've got lots of work.

D and I have talked about the move and decided that he was going to try to get back into the casino. He'll find out next week if they hire him back. He's freaking out about going to FL this year so we are going to stay at least a year if he gets back in. If he doesn't, then we will put the house on the market and go from there. If he goes back to work there, then we won't use up as much of the money we have so we'll have enough to fix the house and move when the time comes.

I'm tired just typing all that LOL

Later!

Good morning all...

Carrie, sending {{{HUGS}}} your way and hoping for a speedy recovery.

Nancy, hope you have kicked your cold and on to better things. How are you doing on your tax detail input? It is so nice when that task is done for another year. Also nice to have the licensing process completed as well.

Pat, glad you continue to find tidbits about Harold. Hope the birth certificate yields more information for you.

Laurie, I can understand D's hesitation about such a big move. But at least now you have a plan - just have to see how it plays out. At any rate you are making great progress on the house. If you end up moving - the house will be ready to sell. If you end up staying - what nice changes that you can enjoy!

Lizzy, sounds like you had a great Valentine Day with the students. Hope you are enjoying the weekend with DD and can make some great progress on the wedding plans. I envy you only having 60 days of work time!

Paula, I have not seen Downton Abby but I am thinking I need to look into it. I had not heard of it until recently - didn't even know it had been on so long. Do you have the disc set or are you watching it on something like Netflix? I need to find something like that as it seems Network TV really doesn't have much to offer now.

I have been working on tax work etc. But I think today I may take some time to do some crafting. I took Amber out for dinner last night. We had a really good chat. She is really maturing now - I see so many changes each time I see her. She is so excited that she has a part in the school play next month, so I made sure she put the date on my calendar so I don't miss her performance! Looks to be cold and windy today so will spend the day inside. Hopefully I can find some crafting mojo!

Will check in later!

Good morning ladies!

I did end up going to the Thur. house yesterday. I did everything except the main floor, floors and entryway floors. They won't be home for ten more days so I didn't want them to be dusty and sometimes the entryway has bugs that sneak in. I will do that sometime next week. Then I came home and made two meals for Deb's family and one for us. Her surgery went well. She was still a bit groggy when I went by but not bad.
Today I may make a big pot of soup, some for us and some for a friend that was in the hospital last week. I am also making a double batch of cookies. It's a recipe that MIL used to make that we really liked but I never made. I bought the ingredients last week but hadn't gotten around to it. (too much Downton Abby maybe?? Blushing )

We got a dusting of snow again last night.

Carrie, what a big bummer that they had to go back in and do some more work. Sorry you have to go through this. (shakes fist at cancer!!!) I know you are strong and have great care, hang in there girl!! I hope this does it!!

Laurie, you are like a whirlwind!! Lots of things to plan and think about. I think Rhonda said it really well. Whatever happens, when it happens, the things you are doing at the house will only be a benefit. This is really good motivation to "get moving" on projects!! :)

Rhonda, my friend Cathy lent me her DVDs, seasons 1-3. Someone said the earlier ones are on netflix but I haven't looked.
How nice that you and Amber could have dinner. :) What play are they doing. I think plays are such a good thing for kids to get involved in. I bet it really made her feel good when you had her put the date on your calendar. A nice thing to look forward to.
Everytime you metion taxes it reminds me we need to get going on ours. ugh!

Pat, has the weather co-operated so you could find the headstone yet? Oh, you were working on packing up cards too, weren't you?
How are you liking your diningroom set now that you have had time to get used to it?

Lizzy, you will be busy this weekend, hope your travels go well.

Well, I think I will make a plan for today. Decide if I am cooking or just making cookies.
My sister has Mon. off so we are going up to my dad's tomorrow for a visit. Tay is going too so he can spend some time with his cousin that lives about 15 minutes from my dad.
So whatever I am going to do, I need to do it today.

Good afternoon everyone!

Rhonda your words about my world are perfect. It puts everything into perspective for me. Thank you. Between what you said and Lizzy's wisdom, I'm ready to just fix up the house and see what happens. Wanting to leave IN in 4 or 5 weeks was just my frustration talking. So we will just wait and see. How nice that you got to spend time with Amber. I hope you found your mojo!

Paula, I'm glad Deb made it out of surgery ok. So sweet of you to cook for others while cooking for your family. We keep getting spits of snow today. That's it.

Today is more purging. I wish I could take the emotions out of it. I keep so much because I'm "scared" to let go of the memory. Like yesterday, D cleaned under the sink in the bathroom. I had some tealights under there and for years (ever since we moved into the house)along with a frame. The frame is like a film stip and holds 4 pics. The end of it goes into a Fugi film canister. I've kept it all these years because my Dad owned a 1 hr Fuji photo place. He didnt' give me the frame so I don't know what the attachment was. D threw it in the garbage and I saw it. At first I got kind of upset but then I thought...I don't need that. I'm so glad he threw it away cause I don't think I ever would. I asked him about it today and he said he didn't realize it was a frame and apologized for throwing it away. But I thanked him. He's confused now LOL Maybe I should just sent him into my craft room and let him have at it...NOT! I just need to learn to let go of stuff I don't need. I'm heading in there now We'll see what happens. I have 1/2 of a large garbage bag filled from yesterday. Hope I can fill it to the rim today!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Good evening everyone!

Oh it's been a great day here today! i did not yell at or give D a nasty look all day LOL

We went to Lowes and picked out our bathroom flooring, toilets, light fixtures, faucets, ceiling fan for living room and a door for the back door. I'm so excited! I'm going to Lowes with Wayne (not in the same car. Wayne is the handyman) so he can look at our choices to make sure they will work. The toilets confuse me. We are going to buy the tile for both bathrooms and my scraproom,1 toilet (not sure when he can do the 2nd bath and where will I put a toilet LOL), both light fixtures, both faucets and the ceiling fan. We have to find out if he can install the back door or if we will have to have them install it. I need to ask him if he can install the fan and if he can install the towel bar, etc... So much to think about. I'm not used to this stuff.

I also put a lot of kitchen stuff and more scrapping stuff on that yardsale site and made $60 in about 10 minutes! Love getting rid of stuff I don't use and making a bit of money!

Well, back to purging.

Later!

Good morning...

Laurie, you are making steady progress. Letting go of things can be difficult but can also be so very beneficial. Hope you continue to make good progress in your craft area. Congrats on more sales! How are you selling them? Hope you were able to get all the items at Lowes.

Paula, did you get your cookies made?

I did spend some time crafting yesterday. I used the free cuts in CCR to make an exploding photo box. I cut it in various shades of pink and will then use add photos and embellishments when the new granddaughter makes her arrival! Not sure if I will keep it or give it to Cody and Drew. Made a few other cuts as well to have ready to make quick cards. So I think I accomplished something.

Today I am going to Kansas City with a friend. Going to see her sister first, them maybe do a bit of shopping. Don't need anything but nice to get away and spend the day with a friend!

Hope everyone has a great day!

good morning.. Rhonda, not sure when you were leaving, but safe travels to you and have a fun time with your friend.
I did a bunch of free cuts last night from CCR. I did the windows and the greenery for the window box. I need to cut flowers today for them. I think I will do a variety of colors. I wish I could think in advance of things I might need/use. Where did you find the exploding photo box idea/cuts?

Laurie, you are going to town on the purging and house projects. I know about letting things go and being into genealogy sometimes makes it harder in my case. I take pictures of things and then I sometimes scrapbook a page telling the story. If it a family heirloom, then I do hang on to it, but other things have found new homes. Because there are things to do before you can put the house on the market, it might work to your favor having to wait a while.
Paula, I see you are off to your Dad's today/tomorrow. Safe travels to you also. Did you get the cookies made?

Well today I have a rather long to do list, but I want to also work on the page kits for any of the society album pages I am missing. Which might be the last 2 meetings. That will require printing those pictures and cutting titles.
We also need to bundle up and go photograph a couple headstones. The ones we tried to do yesterday couldn't be found. Tiny church cemetery, but the stones are very weathered and difficult to read. Jim and I both walked it twice, so next week I guess I will try the church office to see if they can show me where the stone should be/is.

I hope Carrie is doing well and that Lizzy & Sarah are making good progress finding a dress and on any other wedding plans they work on. Hello also to Nancy.

Getting ready to hit the road.

Yes we did make cookies, a ton of them. I doubled the recipe not realizing how many it would make. These are cookies my MIL made and I have never made them.
I also made a bunch of meals.

CARRIE!! I finished season 3 of Downton Abbey last night. UGH!! Now I find out there is no season 4 yet??? Double UGH!!

Gotta run! Be back tomorrow night. :)

Paula OH NO! you will be going through Downton Withdrawal. It is quite nasty and can be as bad as drug or alcohol withdrawal but tell your husband it can be cured with a trip to England or maybe a Caribbean island that has a nice British accent there. Was it really cold at your house this morning. My forehead hurt just walking into Church.

Pat what free cuts did you do? I am going to have to check these out. When the Silhouette people do free, it's free forever. Not just for a few days and I don't need internet access to run my software. I am loving the Silhouette more and more as time goes on.

Rhonda have a fun day and safe travels. Can't wait to see your finished box.

Laurie I think you are handling the potential move exactly right. I hope it all works out for the best. Keep fixing and purging. You'll have a new house in no time.

Well I am doing well. I was quite upset or just plain angry at the cancer and what it's done to me to begin with. But then in the end, I am alive and kicking and this is purely cosmetic. The reconstruction didn't heal and got infected and they had to go in and remove the implant and wash me out and put another drain in. Boy, do I love drains. NOT! Cursing It is very sore and Jim thought he was going to keep me drugged and still. Pain pills, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! and I can scrap without too much soreness, SO NO WAY!. The biggest issue is this all one week before we leave for Cancun. So I am lopsided and the swimsuit doesn't fit very well but swimming might be totally out for me anyway. Yes, my belligerent self is stomping her feet. Ok now I feel better so I am going to print more photos and move on with Rome. Boy are there a lot of photos.

Hello all....

Had a fun time in Kansas City. Stopped at Archiver's and picked up some little pink embellishments for the exploding box. Can't wait until I have pics so I can finish the box.

Pat, the Mini boxes is another of the freebies this week with the card one. The exploding box is in that one. I too have walked a cemetery twice and not find a stone that was supposed to be there. Sometimes I just couldn't read it - other times I never could find it. Hope you have more success.

Carrie, glad to see you still have your spunk! Not going to let a little infection get you down! You Go Girl! I know you will still enjoy Cancun.

I know you have already left, but safe travels Paula.

I think I will relax and finish watching Amazing Race. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Good evening everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Carrie, glad to hear you are ok, albeit a bit angry. But as Rhonda said, you are still showing your spunk! hope you are enjoying revisiting Rome

Paula, sounds like you have lots of cookies! You're up north, right? Safe travels home. How long will you be up there?

Pat, I hope you got lots done on your list today!

Well, I think I spent 2 hours or longer in Lowes today. I went with Wayne and he got the wood he needed and I bought the floor tiles. I figured I neede around 80 tiles to do all the work. I figured I needed 6 boxes. They only had 5. That's ok thought. I bought the 5 and then once they were in my car and looked at my receipt, I bought 150 tiles...30 to a box. I didn't realize there were 30 LOL Anyway, I didn't buy the lighting or fixtures or the ceiling fan today. I already have bronze shower curtain, towel bar etc but I was thinking, I have a chrome faucet. So I started thinking about bronze faucet on my white sink and it just didn't work for me. So then I thought brushed nickel. Then I saw an awesome sink and now I want that. I'm all over the board here. I don't want my tiny bathroom to look designer...that's my Sister's gig. But I want it to match and look nice. I'm really going to like the flooring in there. So many decisions for one tiny 5x5 bathroom LOL

Tomorrow Wayne comes to fix the floor. I will be so relieved once it's done. And I think once the floor is in I can make a decision about whether or not to keep our sink or get a new one and what metal I want for the fixtures. I know I want some bright and pretty lighting. There is no window in this bathroom.

I know I keep going on and on but I'm so excited about finally getting this done

good morning and Happy Birthday to all the presidents. I typed a post last night, was already to post it and lost my connection to the board and the post. Mad
So here I am again.
Carrie, I can imagine your frustration at this point. At least you do recognize the positive side. I agree with Rhonda, that you will still have a good time soaking up the sun in Cancun.
The free cuts I did on CCR were from Creative Cards (I think it is called). I did the window box. I might try to do a few more if I have the time.
Rhonda, I looked at the Mini books cart, but didn't realize it had an exploding box. What size did you cut it at? I have seen instructions for making them on the MB, but never tried one.
Glad you had fun with your friend and shopping at Archiver's. I do wish the one in NC was more convenient for when we are down there. Once winter weather breaks here, maybe we will get to Cleveland for a visit. There is at lest one there, maybe two.
Laurie, sounds like you have a good start on the bathrooms, and making decisions is always hard. I would like to replace the cabinets and flooring in 2 of ours.

I finished all the things on my list yesterday, plus a couple that popped up. Today I need to get the CFS box ready to ship tomorrow. Just need to seal it up. I also want to get more pictures printed for page kits. Picked a few out yesterday for society album pages, so maybe I can get the papers today and titles cut.

Going to get busy now. Have a great day everyone.

Hello we are home.
They have much more snow up north than we have. Plus it was raining on the way home so it it almost gone here.
Had a nice visit with my dad and sister. I also got to see a childhood friend that I have kept close with but haven't seen for awhile.
I started reading a book today so now I just want to read. Blushing

Ugh Carrie!! Will your drain come out just before you leave? It sounds like they didn't replace the implant, right? So they will have to do that after the infection is gone? Oh, what a pain!! (in so many ways!! Crying ) It's ok to be angry but you're right, we have to count our blessings.
Do you have the scoop on when season 4 starts for D.A.? From what I am seeing, it looks like fall? Tell me I am wrong!! Glare

Hi friends...and happy President's Day!

Carrie.....I am so very sorry to hear about this latest set-back with your surgery. What a pain...both real and psychological! You have suffered enough for this last surgery and now having to undergo this is enough! I'm really sorry. Cancer, boo! I'm thankful you have your life and have beaten cancer, but it doesn't make the pain and agony of all you have had to undergo any less painful and unrelenting.

Laurie, backing off from moving right away may not be the worst thing ever. If you end of staying in Indiana for another year or so, you will have a fixed-up home you will enjoy more than ever. You can continue to work on your purging efforts and enjoy the feel of a scaled-down home. I know you wanted to escape the area for many reasons, but for whatever reason, it didn't feel "right" for Dion to go right now. And, it has to feel right for both of you since you are in this together.

Pat, as always you are a busy lady. Keep on your path...don't stray too far.

Rhonda, it's great you got to spend some time with Amber and get your upcoming play on your agenda. I, too, would like to know what they are performing! I'm also glad you had a nice trip to KC.

Nancy, glad to know you are moving along with your taxes. I've not touched mine as yet.

Paula, I'm glad you went up to see your dad. I like your thinking about the monster house, too. Your cooking for others is always so nice. Once I retire, I may have to look into Downton Abbey. Is the British difficult to understand?

The weekend in Houston was quite productive. It was also the All-Star NBA Basketball weekend, so the city was very crowded with visitors for that major event. We went to the super-huge mall on Friday night to get a few items from Nordstrom and it was absolutely mobbed. Fortunately, Nordstrom was not mobbed, though. We readily got what we wanted. On Saturday, we went to David's Bridal and Sarah tried on about ten dresses...however, it was the 2nd dress that brought tears to my eyes and was the one she ended up getting. It looks fabulous on her and looks both sophisticated and fun. If you want to see it, send me an email and we'll talk about it privately!
From there, we moved into buying shoes, and dealt with alterations. Unfortunately, all of that process brought up lots of emotions with Sarah, mainly related to her motorcycle accident and some of the left-over feelings she has about how she looks.

(Recently, she went to see the doctor about a cold she had that didn't go away after several weeks. The doctor assumed she had had a cleft lip repair and made a referece to "her cleft lip repair..." which is actually the repair of her lip/nose from the motorcycle accident. My own opinion was the doctor just had terrible interviewing techniques/bedside manners, but Sarah felt like her scarring must be horribly obvious.)

Anyway, after we got through all that emotion, we proceeded with the purchase of the dress and headed out.

On Sunday, we returned to change out the shoes to a shorter heel, picked the color of her bridesmaid's dresses, and did a few more things. At home, we chose an invitation, and did a bunch more stuff.

I sent an email asking to proceed with a confirmation of the venue for the reception...so we are making progress. I am eager to get the reception plans finalized completely and move on. I want to get my dress selected and then move on to some of the more fun things. We decided to make gift bags to go to the guests when they arrive in Vegas to help make their stay a bit more pleasant...bottles of water, snacks for the room, chips for the casino, etc. I'll put those together in April when I'm off from work. Terry said he would help me purchase stuff and load up the bags. We can drive them to Vegas in our car. I think it was a great idea Sarah came up with.

OK...I've got to go and write sub plans for tomorrow. I'll be at work, but will be in a day-long meeting....so I"ve got to get this all done so I can breeze in there early and pop it into my classroom! Everyone take care.

Hugs....

Hi Paula. Glad you had a good visit. DA begins filming season 4 next month so it will be shown in England this fall and then hopefully in the US after Christmas. No they are not going to be able to put the implant back in at least at this time. The radiation will not let it heal. The infection is cleared and the drain comes out Thursday. I may be part of a study on radiation healing. Jim has a study he wants to do so I will get to be the guinea pig.

Pat I looked at the cards but didn't cut any. I have the mini books digital cartridge so I won't need to cut those. I really just want to work on Rome when I can. I did 4 pages today. Archivers isn't carrying much of the Basic Grey or Echo Park anymore. I still love to go there though.

Laurie sounds like you are really working hard on your house.

Rhonda I don't know about spunk but I do have "Tude". I think you will have to collect one the baby booties or a lock of hair and keep it in the box. Then it will become 3 dimensional.

Well it was a long night last night and I am tired.

Sweet dreams!

good evening everyone!

Paula, glad you didn't have any weather problems on your drive home. Glad you had a good visit.

Lizzy, that doctor sucked. I'm sorry that Sarah had to go through that. Would love to hear more on the dress. the first one I tried on is the one that brought tears to my friend, her daughter and my eyes so I bought it. i wasn't even there to buy one. I was having mine made and only went to see what kind of style I wanted LOL The gift bag idea is a great idea!

Pat...a completed list! Awesome! What is the CCR you guys are talking about?

Carrie, spunk or tude...good to have!

Nancy and Rhonda, hope you had a great Monday.

My floor is in. tomorrow will be the new toilet and my cool vanity. All we have left in the little bathroom is the mirror which is just a black framed mirror and the lighting. In that bath it will be brushed nickel. I don't know if we will change the fixtures in the tub. I'm on the fence with that.

That's all folks!

Later!

Good morning...

Lizzy, glad you had such a great trip! You were sure busy. Sounds like you picked the right dress. I think your gift bag ideas sounds wonderful and know they will be appreciated by all. The next few weeks will speed by.

Laurie, your bathroom project is really moving along. Makes one wonder why we put off these projects when once it is done, we really enjoy it. Had D heard any word from the casino?

Paula, glad you made it home safely. Sorry you are going to have to wait for the next season on DA! I saw an interview on 60 minutes with Maggie Smith - she said she has never watched the show!

Carrie, sounds like Rome is coming along. Maybe you will have it done just in time for your next trip! I stopped at Archivers on Sunday and picked up some of the paper that was on sale Buy 10 get 10 Free.

Pat, did you make any progress on your page kits?

Sounds like we are finally going to get some snow the middle of the week! And that is a good thing!

Have a great day.

Good morning... this morning I have hairapy, so I am going to try to get the house tidied up before I leave and then run a couple errands. App't is at 11.

Lizzy, you made great wedding progress with Sarah. I am sorry about the Dr and her feelings though. I have heard of people doing hotel bags for guests, but never knew anyone who did it. I think it is a great idea. And yea for Terry offering to help you with getting them ready.

Laurie, your bathroom is progressing right along. We ended up not going to Lowe's yesterday, which was jut as well. How is the scrap room purging going? CCR is the Cricut Craft Room.

Carrie, 4 pages for Rome is good. I printed all the photos yesterday for the society album. That will get that album caught up. I have the background papers picked, just need to pick solids for matting the pictures. I keep those pages simple, so they should go quick at the crop. I am also using papers from an old BG mat stack I have had forever. That is one way to purge stuff out.

Paula, glad you had a good time at your Dad's. What are you up to this week?

Rhonda, I hope your area gets a decent amount of snow, since you need it so badly. We have rain this afternoon, which is why I want to get the errands ran this morning.

Well, I need to get off here and see about vacuuming. I probably should have done more over the weekend, but too late now.

Good afternoon everyone!

The bathroom is moving along nicely. Almost done! I do love the little sink for sure! Sadie is waiting patiently to take a nap in her bed. She keeps looking in there checking LOL

Pat, enjoy hairapy. My hair is long enough now to clip it up and I'm thinking of getting it chopped. Not sure yet. Will have to wait and see about the job. Can't go getting a $35 haircut right now. But Great Cips is having a sale...%5.99. Just don't know if I want them clipping my hair.

This morning I took out all my drawer units that I am selling and cleaned them up real good. Now the things I had in them are in various spots in the room Gotta find new homes for my wood mount stamps (don't have that many left because I just purged some more!) and for my scraps (I got rid of a lot of scraps too) I am going to cut them to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 and I already have a place for those cuts. Everything is coming along nicely!

going back to the room

Good evening everyone!

You all must be busy today! LOL

The bathroom is done...well except for the mirror and lighting. I am also going to buy a new shower curtain to match better. I love my sink! This one is only 24 inches long. They have a 40 inch one to that will fit perfectly in my other bathroom. don't know if we'll get it because the other bath has a nice vanity but it's oak and I don't think it will match the new floor in there LOL We'll see. I really like the brushed nickel faucet. Can't wait for the mirror and light! Have both already picked out. I am planning on using my old sink and toilet outside. The toilet will have flowers in it and the pedestal sink will become a bird bath. In my backyard of course and if we are staying here for a while.

It's been cold here all day...after having 60+ yesterday. Just looked outside and it's spitting snow again. I just want winter to be over with! My skin is so dry right now that it's hard to sleep. I feel so itchy! I have actually been sleeping better, except for that.

Thursday I will be prepping the other bathroom for painting and finish that up over the weekend. I am supposed to go see Safe Haven this weekend with some friends from the casino and me and one of them may also go to a wine tasting trail. My friend Tess who lives in a huge log cabin on a hill with 45 acres wants to open a winery in her lower level. She has the perfect spot for it. So we would like to take the tours to "case" the other wineries

D spoke with his former supervisor tonight on FB. He has been off the last 3 days because of the flu. He went back today but never had the opportunity to check his email. He's waiting for the application from HR. I'm getting scared that HR is yanking his chain and actually doesn't want him coming back. I hope his former supervisor isn't yanking his chain because D considers him a friend. They go back to day 1 over 16 years ago. I don't know why they wouldn't want someone back who does his job, goes to work everyday and is very loyal. I know he quit but he did it properly. They are also in desperate need of dealers because they are losing so many to Horseshoe in Cinci which is opening in 2 weeks. Anyway, he told him to call tomorrow morning and he'll make sure he checks the email. Please say a little prayer for him. I would actually be ok with him not getting back because that means we will be in FL sooner but I want this for him. He is feeling so rejected right now and has come to the realization that all there is for him around here is the casino and he will feel even more rejected if they reject him. He's a good man and a hard worker...they would be crazy not to want him back.

I am enjoying a nice hot cup of decaf coffee and it is yummy. Wish I had a brownie to go with it LOL

Oh, Sadie is finally back in the tub. She didn't go in there till about 11:30 She's a silly dog

Later!

Good morning ladies!

Today I am supposed to make a pot of soup and go over to Deb's and we will watch movies or something.
Tonight my friend's daughter (8th grade) is in a fashion show at the college so I will go to that with her.
Yesterday was M. house and then I took care of 12 lbs. of chicken I bought.

I couldn't get signed in last night to chat. :(

Laurie, you have been so busy working on your place. Great work. I really like your sink too.
If you have any music stamp sets you are getting rid of I would be interested in seeing them.
Is Sadie feeling better now that she can have her bed back?? haha

Carrie, Dec. is a long time to wait!! Guess I will get over it!
How are you feeling? It seems like you would be super sore.
What day do you leave for your trip?

Lizzy, it sounds like you had a super weekend!! Glad she was able to find a perfect dress and you guys got to work on other things too.
I suppose you are on a countdown to the wedding now? :)
Yes, I find D.A. hard to understand. With their accents, talking fast and the strange words/phrases they use it can be challenging. So leave it to DS, he said mom, use the caption feature. Oh yeah, that makes it easy now.

Rhonda, what are you up to? Are you still working on taxes? Did you ever get snow?
We went from 45* and raining Sunday to 18* and snowing sideways yesterday. It is snowing lightly today too.

Pat, what are you up to? Did you get your errands done before the rain came?

Nancy, are you out there?? What are you doing these days?

Gotta run and get ready to go to Deb's.
Hope everyone has a good day!! :)

Good afternoon.

I got up early this morning. Misty wouldn't settle down so I got up a little after 5 with her. I then did 2 Rome pages and have finished the Vatican! Then i went to Reflexology, the bank and the grocery store to get snacks and prescriptions for the trip. Went to lunch with my good Italian friend. Now sometimes she is difficult to understand. Now my night tour of Rome photos are printing and I am resting. I have no trouble at all with the accents on DA. Maybe because I used to that accent and then have friends with Italian accents, various spanish accents and even some American accents. Jonathan used to talk in an English accent just for fun.

Laurie I haven't seen the sink. FB? You are really going to town on that house. What are you going to do with yourself when you are done if you don't go to Florida?

Paula have fun at Deb's and the fashion show. There really aren't that many good movies this year. I really don't know why. Maybe they're not out on DVD yet.

Lizzy I would love to see the dress. I bet she looks beautiful. You are really moving right along on this wedding.

Pat I have been using older papers on this album because the newer ones are just too bright and busy for European photos. Basic Grey usually has some muted papers that work well but I haven't found them anywhere.

Well I heading up to cut the photos and see what I have to enhance them.

Good evening friends....I'm going to have to keep this short and quick. I am going to send the photo of Sarah and her wedding dress to everyone if I have your email address. I guess originally I didn't want to bother you, but really....if you aren't interested, just delete it.

In the meantime, we are making progress. I have to email the restaurant back and give her the numbers and she'll send me the contract. Then, I have to reserve the hotel rooms and put some more on hold. Then, find a dress for myself and talk to Terry about a suit for him - wear one he has, get a new one, etc. Then, on to the gift bags. We're moving on this.

It's work that is stressing me, but I will persevere. Just a few more days and I'll be past the worst of it. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Really, I think by next Thursday, the worst of it all will be over. In the meantime, I'll just do each day, one at a time!

That's about all my news for now...I've got to run and plan lessons for tomorrow. Everyone take care.
