But I should have it on it's way back on Monday, even if it comes Monday and I take it late in the day.

I love Corpus! I go there once a month to see my parents since it's the midway point for us. We usually meet at the Chili's on 77. I would love to retire and move to corpus or Port Aransas.

NGGG......I knew you were still mourning Princess, I was just worried about you. It sounds like you found the perfect place to lay her to rest. And, again, I am truly sorry for your loss. I do have your number, just did not want to bother you. I hope you find some paper that puts a smile on your face. GG

Alicia, you can have it!! We've been in Corpus for seventeen years, and each year I think I hate it more. but now that my precious babies are planted in the back garden, I have ties here that will never disappear. The only advantage of Corpus over Port A that I know of is that Port A doesn't deliver mail, they only have PO boxes.

Visiting here and living here are two very different things!!

I am still missing my furbaby, but I am getting better every day. My appetite is returning (rats! hoped to lose some weight!) and I got up and dressed at 8 am today. Last week I couldn't get out of bed.

Thanks for all your good wishes and sympathy. It means more than you can know.

{{{HUGz}}} to you all.

GG, send a text. They don't disturb, and you have to make them short!!

I thought yesterday was a bummer day until I checked on our package. Now it says "Misrouted"!! How hard can it be to mail one package with a big red and blue "Priority" stamp and tape job?? three cheers for the post office... (groan...)

WhooHoo!! Our box made it to the main PO in Corpus, I may get it tomorrow....

On other fronts, WE HAVE A NEW FURBABY!!!!!

I talked DH into going to the local big pet stores, where our shelters have furbabies for adoption on the weekends yesterday. We knew we wanted a girl, about twenty pounds or less, who would be cuddly and ride in the truck with us when we travel, and not shed toooo much... not be woof-y or shrill, and was house-broken already. I held just a few, and at the last place we went we found Bonnie Belle, a little terrier who had been in the shelter since Christmas!!! How could people look at her sweet face and not take her home??

She is black and tan, mostly black, with little white feet. She loves to cuddle with me on the bed, and slept with us last night (which DH says will NOT last, but it was her first night!!). She walks pretty on a leash, and gives kisses, and loves buttermilk. We are so in love!!

I have THE BOX!!!

I took out 83 and put in 100 or more (yes, I'm a paper hog!) because i don't have much double sided, and I did take some double sided. That's about half what I had sorted out to recycle. It is ready for the post office, but I don't have a car today (the downside of keeping your car 24 years, it can die on you at any time with no warning).

Bonnie Belle and I will take a little ride to the PO tomorrow morning, as she needs to learn that "going for a ride" is a good thing. Right now she still shivers and shakes and says, No, Daddy, I don't want to go in the car!!

Thanks for the update NGGG! I love the name you chose for your new furbaby, what a pretty one. I think it is great that you found that much paper that you liked. Just make sure you post the tracking number when you get it. Thanks!

I will be having another surgical procedure on the 22nd of this month. It is the same one I have had several times over the last few years, and is a preventative measure, so is very necessary. This will not interfere with the second round of paper swapping I have planned, even if it takes a while to recover. My wonderful husband has already said he would do PO duty if needed. However, that might not be necessary. Today is my 41st birthday, and one of my presents was a postal scale, so I can prepare my packages, and print out shipping labels and postage at home. Yay!!! He also won Noah's ABC Animals and Wrap it Up from eBay for me. My boys then took us all out to dinner...they had saved their money to do so. I am so blessed to have my guys! It was a good day, not because of the gifts and the dinner, but because I could not think of anywhere else I would rather be, or anyone else I would rather be with today. God has given me more than I deserve. Oh, and I blew out all 41 candles on my cake in one breath! The boys insisted that I have a candle for each year...the cake lit up the room...ha ha ha!

I will post when I receive the box. Thank you all for making this such a successful swap. I cannot wait to post that we are done and had no flakers! GG

Happy Birthday!! (I have 12 years on you, but no boys to take me out to dinner. DH does a good job, though.)

The last tracking number it:
9505 5108 1580 3073 5835 45
and it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I just barely got it back to the post office in the required three days, but I did make it after I saw my hospice patient yesterday.

Then, I went home and cleaned up after a very nervous little dog. I'd forgotten how much mess one 13 pound dog can make in three hours!!!

OOPS...

Thanks so much NGGG, for both the birthday wishes, and for mailing the paper box. I will post when I receive it. GG

Ladies.....you have all been just wonderful. I so appreciate you making my first hosting experience so great and successful. I hope you all enjoy your new paper. I want to see some projects now! Those of you who wish to be involved in the next round, watch for my post. I will open it up once I receive the box back and have time to sort through the paper. We should be up and running by April. Blessings to each of you, GG.
