I did something simular to that, I love going back and lookning at what card I made for chriastmas and how much I have changed in my style. I am going to take you advise and add the birth and wedding dates to them.

A project book sounds fine...... in the beginning. But for me - if I have to actually print out a photo - well, that's where it will all break down for me.

I have a fantastic app on my phone - it's called Evernote. I have a notebook in the app for "CARDS". Take a picture on my cell phone, and load it to Evernote. It's accessible from anywhere or I could upload to Google Drive.

Of course even this process will break down for me if I don't take the picture!!

Thanks for the good idea. I'm going to try to make this a priority. Starting today. (I have 3 Easter cards I need to make).

Great idea! I don't make a ton of cards, but I still forget where I send each one. I usually do take pictures of my projects though (and even forget to do that at times.) I keep them in a scrapbook folder on my computer. It IS fun to look back.

My memory is not so good anymore either. I take a picture of every card I made, except 2, was in a rush to send them out. I have the pictures in a folder on my computer, iPAD, DVD disk, and now on PinterestBigGrin. I also keep a copy of the sentiment inside each card on a word document so I don't use it again.

Best, Mary R.

I do something similar. I made a photo album for my cards. Title and graphic on first page with the pictures of the cards for that particular event. The title would be say Valentine's Day and then I would have hearts in the bottom right corner of the page. The pages following it would be blank. For individual events like birthdays, etc., I put the name of the person I sent the card to under the picture.

I scanned my cards for quite a while.
I printed them 4 per page.
I have a huge binder of them but quite honestly I haven't used it much.
I tend not to repeat my cards unless someone sees one they like and want more of the same one.
I stopped scanning cards a few years back and sometimes wish I'd continued it.
I do have all the scanned ones on CD also.

Honestly the scanner took up too much crafting space. lol.

I should check out the old ones and see how I can do them with a new twist.

It will help me use my poor neglected craft items.
Since I got my Cricut and Cuttlebug the other stuff has not been used much

Now that I have a blog I am taking pictures of my cards.

I need to get better lighting so I can take inside pics when the weather doesn't permit outside pics.

I really wish I would have taken pics of the cards I sent to my father in law.
One year I didn't make Christmas cards and sent *gasp* store bought ones...
He was so sad I didn't make a card.
He then showed me the shelves he hung around his bedroom to display EVERY card I have EVER made him.
Come h... or high water I make him a card now for EVERY occasion.
Having pics would help me not repeat using too many of the same items.

I do something very similuar too. I make a color copy of each card, and for future references I add notes, carts or stamp sets.
I like the idea of the smaller version-your able to get more on a page. Great idea!
