Maybe I don't understand what your asking, because I don't know why you'd need the shift key in CCR?
Maybe someone else will be more helpful....

Down at the bottom under what looks like the keypad, there is a shift function.

Some layers don't have a shift layer so there's no shift button. Maybe that's why you're not seeing one.

Also, if you're using a cartridge that does use the SHIFT key, it can get down lower than usual on your screen and blank out.......so, in the case, you should be able to hover over the upper line of the space that the SHIFT key shows up in to get a plus sign (at least it's a plus sign on my compter). Once you get that plus sign, click on it and drag that line up a little higher on your screen to get the SHIFT key to activate for you.

You can also get this plus sign at the very top of the bars that the IMAGES tab is on to move all the images up a little so you can see ALL of them at the same time....instead of having to use the scroll bar to get to the last two rows or scroll up to see the top rows.
