I am having trouble figuring out how to get a second mat when working on a project. I want to put the basic shape on the first mat with layers on succeeding mats. Can't for the life of me figure out how to do this. Could not find an answer in the tutorial under the help icon. Maybe I just keep missing the explanation. I'm sure it's very easy once I know how.

Hope there is someone out there that can help me. Maybe Scraplette...she seems to know everything about cricut products.

Thanks,

Donna

Yes, of course. It's not so obvious!! See the first tab at the top left of the mat? It says "Layer 1".....just click on the PLUS sign to get your "Layer 2".

If you want to work with both layers at one time (or five, if you need to work with five at one time), you have to click on the eyes to make them green.

You can work with OUTLINE, if you don't want to work with colors.....just click on the down arrow and select the white square with the slash through it! That will turn colors to outline. I prefer to work with outline when I'm working with mat layers.

Maybe you didn't need these little tidbits....couldn't resist!

HTH.
