Hello Fellow Crafters,

I bought a cricut expressions 2 last year March 14,2012 due to health reasons and deaths in my family i was not able to open it and enjoy it until a few days ago. My frustrations begin after making 5 cuts with my Hello Kitty Cartridge. I noticed that the blade was bouncing around as if it had an urge to jump out of the compartment. I realized that the blade was not touching the paper. Mind you im cutting regular old Cardstock nothing fancy. I have no prior knowledge of this machine and paid almost $400.00 on HSN for it. Can someone help me please? Provo has already sent me the replacement blade and im still having the same issue. I attempted to do and update on the computer and none of their programs will load on my pc. I have a project for a Cancer patient young little baby girl in california fighthing for her life and all she wants is hello kitty decorations for her party. PLEASE PLEASE someone help!! could it be that the machine is defective?? i believe i can maybe use the warranty?? Thank you all who take the time to read and help me out!! xoxoxox Blushing

It sounds more like the blade housing isn't being held tightly in place. I would try turning the screw on the little swing arm that holds the blade housing unit and try cutting again {use scrap paper!}.
