Hi Nancy,
I haven't used my G in a while since I had problems with it and the E2.
Had to call Cricut and get them to help me get my E2 to work again.
Figured they are going to phase out the G and we better get use to CCR???
...so when I hook up the E2 to my pc...and go to CCR it updates automatically, I think.
I am Version 1.01 (0079:0040:240)

I will see about updating my G today and see if I can get it to work with the E2.
Right now the G is Version 1.4 (0227-0245)
Keep you posted.

I sold my gypsy about 2-3 months ago & kind of glad I did! It was a pain to use & update!
I do miss it for going to crops though, as I have to take my physical cartridges with me now, so just means I have to plan out what I am doing a bit ahead of time now! Also did love the search feature on it, but can use the search site online to find which cartridge I need. So don't miss it a whole ton.

Thanks for the compliments Nancy, they have grown a lot! Love my girlies so much. They are so different still, with their looks & personalities & even now their interests are getting more varied too!

Sharon, the girls are adorable...great photo!

Nancy, I did update the G..now its:
Version 2.1.18
Firmware- 0227 and
Content 0250

The AE2(Anniversary Expression) has the screen
like the G. so yes, its the latest Expression.
Though I have got use to it, I miss the E.

They are having a sale here on reconditioned ones and with the Circit Circle
discount, shipping and I have some store credit...I am thinking of getting it. Plus they give you a year warranty on it.

They are having a sale on the AE2 or the regular E?
I have the E, but wonder if I need the AE2? LOL
I didn't get along well with the Imagine though & ended up selling it, so maybe I should just stick with my E?

Thanks for the kind words on my girls!

Wow $99 for the reconditioned E. I would get that if I didn't already have mine!
The E2 is $199 for reconditioned. Not sure if I should upgrade to that or not though.

I am happy with my regular Expression, but just worried if it will stop working soon, as I got it when it first came out, at Michaels. So maybe the shelf life is up soon?! Hmmm. It works totally fine now though, so maybe I will wait until it gives up?! lol

Hi everyone;
Been a busy last few days here again. Though Easter was quiet, had Easter dinner on Sat., at my sister's. Got more ink for all my printers, but decided to just go and pick up the passport renewal forms and fill them in and save my ink & paperLOL. Today was picture day again at school; class pics and spring pics. Also got a note from the principal asking what our "wishes" are for next school term...had to give that some thought. I guess they're working on placements, etc. to get their budgets submitted.

Sharon: thanks for the cute pics of your girls, they are adoreable. My dh is a twin and they are also as different as day & night. Hope you are able to get to your crop, I haven't checked with our M's to see if they have crops or not. Might have to do that the next time I'm in there. Good luck with their birthday party plans

Nancy: glad you had a nice Easter.

JeanneLee: I got a reconditioned E just before Christmas to have as a back-up for when my E gives up the ghost. I'm still like the E and I'm not sold on the E2. Might have to eventually get one but am happy with the E for now. I thought for the price I couldn't lose much, plus free delivery to Canada!

Talked with our dd that lives in Vancouver, BC and she is wanting up to fly out in July so dh is give them car buying advice. Dh has to see if he can get holidays for then...hope we can swing it because they aren't coming home for Christmas this year so we wouldn't see them until next Christmas. I guess I had better get to work on the passports so they're back in time.

Bye for now, take care everyone.

Hi everyone.

Sharon - Your girls are darling!! So cute!

Sounds like everyone had a good Easter! We had everyone over for dinner. Was nice!

Last few weeks have been busy. This week is better. DH and I are going to go down to Mesquite (NV) for the weekend and stay in our motorhome. Supposed to be in the 80s all weekend. Can't wait! It is supposed to rain all weekend at home. My daffodils are starting to bloom.

Doing a demo at my church tomorrow on making cake pops. I hate doing that kind of thing. I get so tongue tied and feel so stupid. I know what I'm doing, I just don't explain things well. At least in 24 hours it will be over.

Joy - Hope you are doing well and on the mend!

Have a great evening.

Is the free shipping just on the machines, or is that a circle thing?
I want to order the binder to hold 12 cricut cartridges, it is giving me 10% off for being a circle member, but not free shipping?

If I get free shipping I will buy it, otherwise I think I see it cheaper (with cheaper shipping) elsewhere!

Thanks Shelly!

My daffodils are starting to bloom here in NJ too! Love that, makes me think Spring is finally coming!

I get nervous when I have to stand up & do anything too! I do home parties sometimes for CTMH & get so nervous having to talk about the products in front of everyone! I am okay doing a class & getting them all making a card or layout, but having to talk... yikes! lol

Good luck to you!

Have a wonderful time on your trip Shelly! Is it warm there now? Still 50s here in Maryland.

That is cool that they shipped it free to you Sandra! I thought you were in Canada..hows come you have to use passports to visit your DD in BC? I thought it was a part of Canada as well.

So Jeanne the E 2 I see it has a small screen but does it have all the bells and whistles like the original Expression features... Flip, Fill to Page, Quantiy,so many other features..

I have two Expressions I gave one to my daughter and I had bought a new one a couple of years ago but I have to say the one I gave my daughter is so quiet the second one I bought New is so much louder.

I hate change love my Expression but right now I have my grand daughter Christening and 1 st. Birthday coming up. Just having my eyes done $$$ set me back a bit.

Plus Max might need his eyes done!! He has a cherry eye in each eye!!

Shelly and Sharon I use to sell Mary Kay years ago and whenever I had to do a class I pictured everyone as kids so much easier to talk to them and more relaxed.

Shelly enjoy your trip

Sandra.. I am also confused about the passports like Jeanne!!!

Have a great day

JeanneLee... there is an extra 15% off? Where is that shown or is that a code I need to enter?! Maybe I will order Life is a Beach too as I have been wanting that cartridge for a while. Then plus the cricut binder, that would give me free shipping.

Morning, Nancy! Happy to see you on more and more. Eyes healing well then?
Poor Max...how old is he?

Yes, the E2 has all the same bells and whistles...and its like the G.
I am getting more and more use to it and using CCR with it instead of the G.

Really its like anything, the more you play with it the better and you will get use to it. I like that CCR has a BIGGER screen! LOL

Okay, thanks for the info. The 15% must be already reflected in the prices shown, as it is not coming off at checkout, just the 10% circle discount, plus the free shipping (as it would be over $50 if I get the binder plus the cartridge).

Thanks!

Looks beautiful out today, lovely sunshine, shame it is so chilly here. 36 degrees right now!

Hi all. I finally decided to turn my computer on and try sitting in the chair where it lives. So far, so good. Especiallly with a massage thing running up and down my back!

Hanging in there. I was hoping recoverey would be a little quicker, but I guess not. I can so symphathize with DH now!!! I haven't even felt like knitting or reading very much.

It was good to read and catch up with all of you!

I will go kicking and screaming into the CCR world. I am just not interested, but I will probably have no choice. I am a G lover, all the way!!!

I have never used an E2, but from all the reading I have done, I think I would prefer to stick with an E. I have considered getting a reconditioned back-up, but probably will just wait. I hope that is not a mistake.

We have been having beautiful weather the past few days. I have been out and gone around the block. No, not far, but as far as I can go right now. But, it is cooling back down and rain is predicted.

Nancy, your decorations sound cute for Abigail.

Sharon, I did see the pic of your girls of facebook. They are so cute! And so amazing that they are twins.

I am HOPING that I get the get up and go to go into my craft room and make some Thank-You's for peope who brought in food. I think I will just print the whole thing with my I, not the layers just the images. Easy, easy.

JOY... nice to hear from you... we miss you... get better soon

Jeanne.... thanks for the input on the machine and the version updates

Sharon.. good deal on the machine and free s/h is always nice

The Specialist said the hardest thing to read is a computer screen! I just can't be on it long..

Max is 8 yrs. old now the Vet said if they remove the cherry eye (which she said really isn't so bad) there can be complications like dry eyes, itchy eyes and create more problems. So she suggested a salve to put on both eyes 4 times aday

Poor Max.

I think Camry has allergies. She is forever chewing on her back feet. We give her allergy meds. Well, I do, anyway. I don't think either dog has properly had their meds for the past week. Nick takes vitamins, glucosomine and an Rx from the vet for his arthritus. And both take allergy pills.

Jeanne - It is supposed to get up to 74 today, then goes back into the high 50s, with some snow on MondayScared! In Mesquite, the days we will be there it will be in the 80s, so I am looking forward to it. Not looking to coming home to snow Monday.

Joy - So good to see you back and on the road to recovery. I too am a BIG G fan! Love mine and don't care for CCR. My computer is upstairs and craft room is in the basement! I am dreaming of a bigger screen on a gypsy type device, plus all my carts are linked to my G and I don't want to dig them out or get them from my daughter to use CCR.

Nancy - I am seriously thinking about getting another E for a backup. Love mine and not so sure I would like the E2. Have heard to many bad things about it.

I guess I better get off here and go get ready to go over to the Church. I am NOT a teacher and will be so glad when this is over! I keep going over it in my head, what I want to say, but who knows how it will come out. So not my thing to publicly speak. Its not hard, what I am demoing. But I'm sure I will get very tongue tied. My oldest daughter, Natalie, is going to come and help me and she will keep me straight.

My yard is looking so fun with all the daffodils starting to bloom! Can't wait for the tulips to bloom.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I was just over in the Circle Forum and some of the gals were commenting that they prefer their origial E over the E2.

Well hoping everyone has a good night/dayBigGrin

We have a gorgeous day here in NJ! Lovely sun & 51 right now. Should get up to 60. Possible sprinkles this evening though I think?

Went to Michaels to sign up for the crop tomorrow, but nobody else is signed up. So decided not to go. I don't want to be there by myself!

Yep, that is what I saw on the Circle MB as well, Nancy.
Hope the salve helps Max.

I do like the fact you can use CCR on all the machines at least, right?
Its a BIGGER screen for my eyes! LOL

My machine is in the basement and my old dinosaur of a computer. That is why I loved my G...portability for crops, not everyone has a laptop to take from home...ykwim?

Shelly, sounds like a wonderful trip! Hope there isn't much snow when you get back home.
What were you teaching at church last night?

Hi all. Doing good today, except for gas pains. If I could get that taken care of, I would feel pretty good. DH and I are quite a pair. He overdid it a couple of days ago!

Beautiful sunny day, but breezy and cool.

I love the portability of my G. I have an ancient computer in my craft room, and I have downloaded CCR on it, but never tried to see if it will work. The computer is vintage. The one I use all the time is just old. Flapper So far, the only thing I have used the craft room commputer for is to watch Christmas movies on the TV that is in there! When I first hooked it up and turned it on, there were something like 47 or 49 updates that needed done. DH spent several hours trying to get it to work properly.

And, like I have shared, I can't use CCR when I camp, and I really don't have space to haul carts with me. And until I can link my G carts to CCR, which is pretty much most of my carts, it won't do me any good at Jill's house, either. I don't have space to haul my carts 857 miles one way.

Enough venting. I just love my Gypsy.

Shelly, hope your church thing went well for you!!

Nancy, how is Max doing??
