My doctor is amazing, he has just successfully performed a difficult hysterectomy on me, the same man who delivered both my children premature 14 and 19 years ago by c-section. I swear this man could open a needlework display just from his handiwork on me over the years!LOL

I wanted to pay tribute to him for the children he brought into the world for me also under difficult circumstances and the end of my 'baby making era' thanks to surgery 7 weeks ago. This surgery changed my life in so many ways, health wise will be much happier, taking 7 weeks off work as a teacher (took me 3 weeks to truly wind down and start to turn off a bit) so that I could grow to love card making again. I should own shares in cricut for the machines and cartridges I have purchased in the last month! But I am so grateful, being off work and grounded to your home can get depressing, cricut saved me from falling into depression and I am just loving the new distraction and hobby in my life.

OK THat was pretty wordy... even for me lol

Beautiful work, and how nice to thank someone who helped make your life better. We sometimes forget to thank our doctors, since we pay them, but it is something I try to do. I, too had 3 difficult pregnancies, and credit my OB/GYN, and our merciful God, for saving my 3 sons, and my life. I, too had to have a hysterectomy, and though it was a painful decision, I have not looked back after making it. The "female problems" I was having are history, and I praised God on my knees for bringing such a wonderful, caring, and skilled artist into my life in the guise of a mild mannered OBGYN. If yours was anything like mine, your scar will be barely noticeable. I remember the nurses being amazed has my doc's stitching skills, and I honestly have to search for my scar. Thank you for sharing your card with us, and I wish you a happy, healthy recovery, and many blessings. GG

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I love the frames you used. Can you tell me which cart they are on? I have several exploding box parts that I cut using free cuts a while back on CCR. You have given me inspiration to use them.
TIA

Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement. The frames I used around the outside were the left overs from the cut outs on the inside, these parts were cut with my cuttlebug and spellbinders die cut "Fleur de lis square".

I am glad to have inspired someone to bring out some old craft tools.... I know I have been inspired by the talented crafts people here, you are all so amazing.

I just want to tell you how much doctors appreciate it when patients do something special for them. It is always unexpected and that makes it even sweeter. My husband occasionally brings home a treat from a patient and we are just blown away by the kindness.
