I am new to the forum. Received this as a gift a couple of years ago. When I got it I tried everything .I used fondant, sugar sheets and gumpaste nothing worked. I went on numerous sites for tips. After playing with different edibles and adjusting the pressure and speed I gave up and boxed it away. I really would love to learn how to use this machine, it could really simplify some of the fondant work that I do by hand.If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Thank You Pam

Hi Pam:

I have a few postings on the Cricut Cake Machine. I took the Wilton's classes, I and III, especially to learn to work with Fondant. When I do my cutting, you must make the fondant very thin, like 1/8th of an inch, almost see through on the mat you are rolling it out on. I also make my own marshmallow fondant(MMF), and can send you the recipe. I make a 50/50 mixture of store bought Wilton Gumpaste and MMF, then color it with Wilton fondant or my icing colors also from Wilton. (No, I don't work for Wilton)

Hope this helps. Just think of the cake like working with Playdoh, and roll it really really thin!

Good Luck!
