I did & it went smoothly. The only thing I had was that the Imagine content for the G took a little longer, but other than that it went very smoothly.

I did mine. I had to reformat the first time I tried it but after that it was fast & smooth. All of my carts stayed on there & the reformat process took a little over an hour.

Thanks for the response. I don't have a back up G, so I'm scared.

I did it. It got stuck for a couple of hours. I gave up and went to bed. I did it the next night, and it went smoothly.

Good Luck to you!

I did mine and I did have the Security Breach message, but I followed the thorough instructions by Cricut Gena on how to fix it and after I had to reformat everything went smoothly and is now working great!

Don't be. With the Gypsy repair program available you can get your G fixed if it dies.

I had to reformat too...AND reinstall the gypsy driver (cricut sync kept asking for a disk...but what it needed was for me to OPEN/run the gypsy driver that's housed in the folder where cricut sync is housed on your hard drive).

After the reformating, the transfering was quick and painless.

I did. No problems. I updated CricutSync, updated CCR, updated my Gypsy, then connected and linked my Gypsy with CCR.

Everything took about 30 minutes total. No problems!

Another great thing happened! My Create started cutting with my Gypsy again!!

I should have known better but I couldn't wait. Mine stuck on the g update. Then my g wouldn't open. Had to reformat (remember to back up all your projects BEFORE you try any linking. reformatting wipes them away!)I have uninstalled and re installed CCR and G sync on 2 browsers didn't work. Although I can design in CCR and export to my gypsy, I cannot get anything I design to export properly & cut. 3 weeks into my many calls to CS and still the same problem. Lucky me.Glare

Mine went well mostly. I had the Security Breach error, but the directions were clear and it worked perfectly.
One thing I've found whenever I update my gypsy is that it sort of hangs...stalls near the end of the update. So what I do now is to start Windows Task Manager, then when the update seems to just keep going for a half-hour or more, I go to Task Manager, select Cricut update and "End Task". This seems to force the gypsy to disconnect and generally results in everything being fine (ie the update installs correctly). I also do just one update at a time if there's more than one to choose from. Works for me anyways.

I didn't have any major problems. I just had to get my firewall to accept cricut sync, which I had never had to do before (I would just turn off my firewall whenever I did an update). I called customer support, they walked me through it and after that it took about 30 minutes, I do not have an imagine. I also bought two digital carts and used my $20 credit and moved those over to my G and everything has worked just fine. I did do a test cut on CCR and it worked fine, but haven't used it since, I love my G too much!!

On the upside, my Gypsy works perfectly without CCR. I redesigned the same projects in my gypsy that I couldn't properly get CCR to export and they cut perfectly. CCR did export my digital cart to my gypsy just fine. For me, there really is no benefit in CCR. I mistakenly believed that I could download the "free" content on my gypsy for access but that doesn't work. If you cannot connect your cutting machine directly to your computer (and I can't. They are on opposite sides of the house) you have no access to CCR bonus material. At this point, it's just the principle of the thing. If they are going to try to shove CCR down everyone's throat, they should put out a product that works for everyone.

No problems here either. I've ordered 5 new carts in the last 2 weeks and each time I receive one I link it to CCR and then do a Gypsy Sync. It's all good!
