CricutCrazy,

Actually, Amy had posted the cards she sent to me, which she did do an awesome job. I do not know how to post pics from my computer onto here, it asks for a http address. My cards could be seen in the project center or on my blog down below. If anyone can tell me how to download a pics on here, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Smile Maria

Maria, maybe these will helpSmile

Post your comments on the thread.
Go back to your post and click “Attach” at the top right
This will bring up a screen where you can “browse” your computer for your photos. I always save in “MY pictures” so I can find them easier.
click “upload” and the link appears.
Click “back” and the picture should be on your thread.
If only a link shows up, that means your picture is too large and has to be resized. I use www.shrinkpictures when needed.

Another way is to store you photos on the web. I use Photobucket.
Click on the photo you want to post to the thread.
Underneath it says Direct and IMG
Highlight and Copy the IMG link one (direct will add a link to your picture not the picture itself
Go back to your post click edit and then click the little mountain icon at the top( 7th one over)
That brings up a screen where you paste your link. Click OK
Picture should now appear.

Hope these help

LOL Yes - I was a little confused about the reference to a "clock" and neither one of those pix had a clock shaped card on it !
Posting pix is not difficult. Take your pix and download them into your computer in your photo shop, or windows gallery or whatever you use to store them in.
Post something like a normal message and the on the bottom left of where you are typing you will see 2 boxes. One says Watch this topic.... and the other says ATTACH FILED to this post.
Click on attach files to this post. It will then pop up a screen for you to down load your pix from your computer. It works best if you will first EDIT your pictures in the photo gallery and make them small enough to post in the actual thread. If they are too big, you end up with an "attachement" that everyone has to wait to download the picture every time - which is a big pain for most of us.
Hope that helps...I figured it out one night without any help, and I am not the brightest light in the harbor when it comes to computers, so it must not be too difficult ! LOL Love

Thank you ladies, it's working fine. Previously I did click on attach file, but nothing happened. I wasn't aware I had to post my reply right after and then that screen would pop up for me to upload pics or whatever from my computer. I'm usually pretty good with a computer, but I do have my moments, lol!!

CricutCrazy,

In reference to the message you sent me, just wanted to clarify!! It's my first time doing shaped cards, so I wasn't sure to what extent of a shaped card was acceptable, but if you refer to the comment I had left below, I did ask this question. I watched videos and they did refer to cards such as the one that I made as a shaped card.

Amy,

For my own piece of mind and to be fare, I will be making you another shaped card.

Thanks,
Maria

Hi Maria and everyone else too... I am sorry if I misinterpreted your question. I never looked at or referred to any videos. My idea was to create a "SHAPE" card like the clock card you made.
I was amazed at how easy it was to create a card from almost any Cricut cut and "weld it" in the CCR or on a gypsy to make a foldable card. It was not my idea to take a rectangular card and put a scallopped edge on it. Your card is very pretty and I am not asking you to make another one. If it were in the shape of a butterfly it would have been a prefect use of the papers you used. I suppose it is my fault for not being precise enough in my instructions.
But, After all - it is only a card....ThumpUp I am not the least bit upset over it...and no one else should be either. Wub

No worries, although, I didn't just pick a scalloped edge card, it was a single image that I did have to flip and weld together, as well as rotating, hide contouring and welding the image for the butterflies to complete the card, not to mention the cutting of layers!! I could've just as easily used a butterfly shape, I just like the scalloped look with the butterflies. This was a good learning experience, good to know for the next time.

Thanks,
SmileMaria

Hey to my partner, Pat,

I finished my second card today. If I don't get them in the mail today, they will go out tomorrow. Wonder how long it will take for you to get them.....I'm excited about both and hope you like. Really love the second one and have enough paper left to duplicate it....guess that's gonna be happening soon too. ;) Have a great day.

Right back at ya!!!

A sneak peek for my partner, and any serial peekers out there Laugh

And now, sharing my happy mail from Williase. . .

How clever to use those calligraphic letters as a shape card. Now this is very unique. The sage, black, and white color combo is striking.

I am sending this one to a very special birthday boy who just loves boats. I like the wave pattern on the envelope in keeping with the theme. The die cut is perfectly executed, no glue showing at all, now how did she do that???

Thank you so much and I will have fun sending them out, but then again, I might keep the friend card in Chinese characters for myself. ( my typo said that I would keep this for my elf , good thing I proofread this, or you all would have thought I had an imaginary friend!!! )

KauiMelody:
Thank you so much for posting the pics and your wonderful compliments.

The Kanji character is from Pagoda cart. I just saw that there was a shadow, outline, and character & went with it! Just browsed my paper stash something that "looked" like it fit your theme...looks like chrysanthimums (sp?). I figured the sage color was more like a "jade".

Now, the nautical theme card...thank goodness for the Father's Day cart! After studying the shape for awhile, I knew that making the shape in DS was beyond me but making an oval wasn't! Then, I thought "All men love red boats"... so that is why the stripe is red. Found the envelope paper in my stash too.

Now, you can thank my hubby for keeping the kids calm (and taking me out for dinner on Mother's Day) so I could finish crafting your cards...just doing that help to keep my hand nice & steady with the good ole Elmer's dark blue craft stick. It was missing something so I decided some glitter would do. I made sure it was "manly" glitter via hubby's advice.

Let's just say...he asked some pointed questions and now I'm on the hook to make him a card for Papa's Day.

CricutCrazy:
Thanks for this challenge. I learned something new (making a card!) and met somebody new.
