So i would like to make a bouquet of flowers for a friend who i am leaving. I know how to make the flowers, but i am having troubles on how to attach the flowers onto the stem to put in the vase. Any ideas?? I went to hobby lobby and found the floral tape and stems but have no idea how to attach the stems to the flowers. I usually use a brad to attach all the layers and stems.

Thanks Ahead of Time for Any Ideas

I use floral wire, doubled. I stick the two ends of the wire down the middle of the flower in two different places, so the bend of the wire is what holds it on to the flower, then wrap it with floral tape. By using wire I can bend the flowers to position them where I want them in a bouquet.

I am doing this right now, I am attaching them to 16 gauge wire with hot glue gun. Depends on type of flower. Some of my flowers from Flower shop have a rolled middle, I am starting those glued to wire then sliding the bigger parts of flower under it and gluing to the middle. I then covered the wire with floral tape. I don't know if any of this makes sense, that's why I make videos. Video will be in a few days. but I use hot glue gun and then cover in floral tape, so any glue is covered by tape.

I know...Let me re-phrase it. I got a new job and i will be leaving my current bank job to go to a local bank in the area. I got a great offer that i could not say no to. I have been at my current bank for about 6 years and my best friend has been there with me for those 6 years. She is very sad that I am leaving, but happy that i got such a great offer. So I am only saying goodbye to her at my job...she will forever be in my heart!

Oh good. I was also wondering. The new job sounds great and you and your friend will just have to have a drink once every week or so to catch up!
