I just got my new Mini today. It is such a cute machine, a little noisy when it starts up, so much so it scared my dog.BigGrin

I got it all connected and started to do a few cuts with it. Worked great for the first 6 or 7 cuts and then the power button started flashing red and green. I unloaded the mat and turned the machine off. To my dismay the Blade had cut right through the mat for about an inch!! Sad I had the blade set at 4 and the pressure set at 4. tried it again and it appears to be working.

I called customer service and the lady I spoke with sad she had not seen that before and would send me a new mat. I was wondering has anyone else ever had this problem with the Mini or any other machine???

I was having the opposite problem.

It actually cut ok for the first two cuts, then the blade was shot. It wouldn't cut through the cardstock when set on 6 with pressure of 5. The blade housing is crap (rough plastic near the blade that scrapes up a layer of paper, plus a dull blade) I'm going to call CS tomorrow, I forgot to call today.

I'm sure they'll take care of it, they've always been very helpful in the past.

Mine cut right through the mat as well. In the first week, it was set at 4 depth, i dont remember the pressure. Disappointing to have to replace the mat so quickly

That is very interesting. I hope it dosen't happen again because I would think it may dull the blade too. I will be watching it to see what happens.

My mat was bent, they had me send a pic and when I called - still waiting on it- they said oh we never got it- so for this time only we'll go ahead and send it to you. Oh by the way, it never bounced back and they did not ask for me to resend the pic. Odd. Still waiting....BJR.
