Well Melody, I don't know about all that, but this is a very challenging project for me since I've never done a complicated one before. I do love a challenge though.

Robin-I am making my journal a little smaller. I am using about 25 sheets of paper, some of them being lined or graph for writing. I cut mine 6x81/4. Besides that I will add a few small envelopes and some smaller sized paper, and probably a pocket on the inside cover for extra journaling tags. I am keeping it pretty simple.

You are busy, busy!! The money is always nice and paying off bills is great! But with putting in hours like that it sure can take a toll on one. Hope you get some well deserved rest! Cool

Jci-I worked on mine the last 2 days. I got the chipboard covered and the front laid out. I cut all my paper and taped them back to back. Lastly, I made 2 pocket pages-just waiting for my binding wire to arrive then I can put it all together and embellish.

JCI ,hi everyone.

Robin, this one is making me nervous,

always feel that way on a new swap item no matter how complex or simple. And you know how particular Gwynne is, she always raises the bar, so my knees are shaking a little.Scared

Now Melody, they really are not that hard to do. I did a trial run making one for DeniseKenna.

I just started going thru all my stashes of paper, choosing colors and or designs that I know she likes. Then threw in the plain papers, graph paper....can make a few pockets and tags or stamp some verses if that is your thing. Hers was very simple but I was very happy with it and I think it lays a nice base for her to build on.

It's not something you have to super embellish.

So don't be scared! Just go with your mood of the day and be creative! lol

As Martha Stewart would say, And that's a good thing.

I think when Gwen mentioned it doesn't need to be embellished so much, that really gave me a mental boost. I think I was going overboard with what I perceived was necessary to finish all of the pages.

I hope everyone is getting time to work on this swap! It will be due to mail before we know it! June 8th is coming quickly! Remember to try and find things that were meant for the trash, stuff you normally wouldn't think of using. Find odd things, clean out your junk drawer and make them work as part of the journal! That is the fun part! These are not mini albums, so yes, no need to over embellish. Add what you think it needs and leave plenty of space for your partner to journal. Be free and have fun creating.BigGrin

I've been working on my junk journal today. I'd say I'm about 75% done, maybe more. The worst is behind me with all the papers chosen, cut down to size and organized into some kind of order!

I would love to mail this out on the first but that's probably not reality.

Hope everyone is making the most of this long weekend! (windy and cold here...hard to get excited about doing yardwork!)

caffinee-I have been working on my Journal today. I will be done in the next few days. I'm letting everything dry tonight and then I'll see if I need to add anything else. I left most the pages plain so that you can do what you want to them. I should have it mailed out at the end of the week.

Got a lot of crafting done over the weekend and yesterday. I even used my Bind-It-All FOR THE FIRST TIME yesterday. I know...I've had it for 2+ years and NEVER used it. I picked up a few more things from a vintage store on Saturday as well. I love how its coming along and I hope my partner likes it as well.
