Is it possible to remove linked cartridges from a gypsy ...... I don't use my gypsy anymore and would like to sell it. I have all my cartridges and am keeping them for myself!

Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately there is no way to unlink a cartridge. If you do sell your Gypsy, you are supposed to sell the cartridges that are linked to it along with the Gypsy. Selling them separately violates the EULA. Hope this helps!

Even tho you aren't using your Gypsy, be sure to uplink it to CCR. That's the only way you can get gypsy-linked carts into CCR. That way you have a backup of your carts in case something happens to them (lost, damaged, loaned to a friend and never returned, etc.)

I would think that you could still sell your Gypsy. You would need to up-link your cartridges into CCR, so they would still be linked to your account.

Am I right? I'm not exactly sure how this works. The buyer would need to send the Gypsy in Provocraft to have it serialized & registered in their name. Once they do that, your cartridges wouldn't be on the Gypsy anymore & they woukld be free to link their own cartridges. Is this correct?

What makes you think they can't reserialize it? Just curious.

The reason PC was reserializing a gypsy was went one broke, you got a replacement and sent them to PC and they changed the serial number on the new gypsy to match the serial number on the broken gypsy. Then, when you re-linked your carts, it would link because the serial number that had been written to the cart with the original linking, now matched the serial number on the reserialized gypsy.

And since there is now a repair service for a broken gypsy, there isn't a need to reserialize them {although, they may still do it but they were using a vendor to do it so there might be a charge}.
