I can still see the sketches - hopefully it has been fixed now.

I have sketches #1 and #2 designed in CCR. I will cut them out and put them together on the weekend.

SandyOtt - A pyjama day sounds wonderful! I look forward to seeing your creations. I post my cards to Photobucket and then add the photo here with the insert image icon.

Turtlebug - Congrats to your DGS! A great accomplishment!

Donna - Wonderful Christmas card! Well chosen papers and cuts!

Lisa - TFS your layout! Hope you find time this weekend to craft!

Enjoy the weekend everyone and I look forward to seeing more great cards.

Good morning! Here is my interpretation of Sketch #1 - I used the sketch as the background for the focal point of the ship. All of the cuts were using the Cricut in CCR: rectangle shapes CCR Basics, ship is Wrap It Up and wave border is Paper Dolls Dress-up.

Hope you enjoy the day! I'm off to do some errands.

And here is my final card for Sketch #2 and the extra credit Christmas card. Used Joys of the Season for the poinsettia and the snowman tag.

I still have some time to play in my craftroom. I am going to make a few flowers using the Flower Shoppe cart that I received last week and try out the new glue gun from Aleene's with the small nozzle.

Sketch #2... No cricut and not thrilled with it but it is a start. Back to the crafting table I go:

Tried to upload picture and system wouldn't allow. Will reboot and try again later! I guess even the computer knew it wasn't a very good cardCrying haha

#1 - Very nice! The cut of the popped ship is awesome and looks great with all the detailed layering you did. Like the embossed BG and the diamond cut border. Any male would love recieving this card!
#2 – Very pretty! Love the poinsettia and the “dew” you added to the leaves. Very creative use of the ric-rac as the strips. Like the assorted beads in the flower center. Do you use a glue gun often on your cards? What is the difference between a regular one and your new Aleene’s glue gun, (is the only difference the nozzle?) Which did you prefer?

SandyOtt
Don’t be so hard on yourselfSmile . This is your first try and pretty soon it will come to you as easy as breathing! As with all things…it takes a while to get acclimated. I am sure your card is very nice and you will find that you are your own worst Critic. Keep trying to post, would love to see yur card!

Hannah
#2 – Very nice! LOVE the flourish, pretty gold sentiment, and gold Christmas trees. It will be fun to see other cards you create in the coming weeks.
Oh! I have a question for you.....are you Hannah on the left, or Hannah on the right!?Laugh

I mainly use the glue gun when assembling flowers. I'm also working on making 150 place cards for a wedding and need the glue gun to glue corks together. The main difference with the new Aleene's glue gun is indeed the nozzle, you have a choice of 4 different ones. It works well! I bought it with a 50% off coupon at Michaels so inexpensive too.

TurtleBug that is a photo of me with my grandaughter at her high school graduation. Thank you for the nice comments about my first attempt at using sketches. I had a great time doing it and it is interesting to see how others interpret the sketches. I know I am going to have fun and will look forward to each challenge.

Hannah - Wonderful Christmas card! Love your choice of papers, great embossing and wonderful holly border. Glad you joined in and hope to see more of your work. We all try different ways with the sketches and sometimes our cards look like the sketches and other times it is a real stretch. BigGrin

Happy Memorial Day! Thinking of my daddy who served this country for 34 years and then was taken 3 months ago by the horrible disease of Dementia. Didn't even think about today and missing him until the day was here. I will just have to keep busy scrapping.

I am hoping to post sketch #3 here, if you do not see anything i didn't have any luck. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Happy Memorial Day to all...hope everybody is having a wonderful day.

Bingolady: My postings will have to wait until near the end of Tuesday. A 12 hour day today but off the rest of the week...until Friday, so planning on a full day of scrapping.

Looks like the board is being a pain again...can't see anybody's postings. Will try again in a while.

#1 - Very nice guy card! I don't drink beer, but that cold beer mug looks mighty refeshing and invitingLaugh!! Nice job with all the matted panels and assorted papers.
#3 - Very pretty with the pleated panel. The butterfy is beautiful with all it's Bling. Like how you placed the blue gems in descending order and the shiny Happy Birthday. Great card!
You nailed the concept on both cards perfectly!

Sandy it is very easy to post from Photobucket.

1. Upload your photo to PB from wherever you have it saved on your computer
2. Open your card photo and copy the "direct link"
3. Click on post reply on the message board here
4. Type in your message and then click on the little mountain icon across
the top of the post reply page. It is the 7th icon from the left
5. Paste your direct link into the box that pops up You will get a second box
pop up but you can just ignore that one.
6. Just hit post and your card should show up

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions

Hope everyone enjoyed Memorial Day! It was a work day for me but we had our holiday last Monday.

Sandy - I did answer your PM. Donna also gave you very clear directions so let us know if you need more help.

Hannah - Love your two cards. Very pretty butterfly and I don't drink beer but that was a "thirst quenching" card!
