Hi Everyone - Here is a quick and easy swap for you to do. Very simple and low cost too !

This is how it works :

1) Buy a package of 20 Ranger Essential Manila Tags - They should be #8 Size tags...and they must be the Manila color. And yes, use a coupon and pick them up at Michaels or JoAnns or AC Moore.

2) Get out your Memento ink (please only use Memento in case people want to use their alcohol pens to color in their stamped image) or DYE BASED INK .. Please stamp in black or dark brown color.

3) Pick two of your favorite stamps - They can be CHRISTMAS or Magnolia Tilda, FLOWERS, NUTTY PEOPLE, or whatever you like . Pick stamps that are large enough to suit these large tags (or in some cases you may stamp an image with a sentiment ...You MAY USE A COLLECTION of Images & Sentiments to make a themed stamp (like balloons and cake and a "Happy Birthday" message)

4) Stamp ten tags with image 1 - one side only

5) Stamp the other ten tags with image 2 - one side only

6) Place your tags in 2 separate zip lock bags with your name on them. Please separate the 2 images you are using.

7) Mail to me with along with a large self-addressed envelope and enough postage stamps to be able to return your new tags to you. If you do not include the stamps and envelope I will not be able to return any tags to you.

8) Mail your tags by June 25th. After all the tags I will sort them out and mail your new assortment to you by July 3rd.

You may take two positions (e.g. stamp 40 tags with 4 images total). A total of 20 positions are available. To sign up, post below indicating if you want one or two positions.

Yes MissStamper - 40 tags for 2 positions. THe tags come packaged 20 to a pack so it makes it easy...and if you would use 4 different stamp images that would be appreciated as well.

For some who asked - I decided not to have embellishments placed on the tags to keep the postage down. This way you can just use a large (like 6x9) manila envelope and no padding is even needed so the mailing is cheap ! Love

I forgot to let you all know that I am going to be out of town for the next few days and you may not hear much from me...but don't worry I will be back Monday night and get caught up on everything !!
In the meantime, I hope we get some more members signed on...this is so easy to do....
............maybe too easy ?? the other swap had embellishments added to the tags, but I was mainly interested in getting some stamped images that I do not own and I thought perhaps there were more people who felt that way. We shall see !Love Hope you all have a great weekend !

Have a great weekend Barb! I don't think it is too easy of a swap. The embellishments for 20 tags could not only be bulky, but heavy too. Perhaps more swappers will sign up over the weekend.

I have extended the dates on this one to hopefully get a few more members...No disrespect meant for the folks who are doing one of these on the Circle Board. I wanted to swap some tags and theirs filled up before I could get in on it...then I thought it would be much bettter to simply trade stamped tags and be able to embellish them myself. Besides, it will be much cheaper to mail the tags in a plain envelope instead of a package.

So this gives us any opportunity to obtain some tags with stamped images that are different from the stamps we already have on hand !!

I would like to have at least 10 members please !!

Another thing I wanted to say is that if you would like to download a picture of the stamps you are going to use, then that would be wonderful so we can hopefully avoid duplicates.
I am going to wait to see what comes in before making mine so I can be sure to send you something very new ! Background stamps are welcome ... I have some nice ones from Our Daily Bread with Bible verses and Inspirational words that are nice....Also have SHEENA , Loralee Designs and a few Tildas, but some nice ANGEL images and Birds that I like as well.

So, perhaps it would be good for everyone to make an "announcement" of the type of design they want to stamp out.

Not required...just a request BigGrin Love

It is helpful to use a Fiskars Stamping Tool or some "Rock-a-Blocks" to make your stamp designs which help to avoid "smudges and blurs"...we want them good and sharp. I never worry because if I mess up on a stamped image, I just cover that side with some decorative paper and use it elsewhere.

Welcome MsChewie - Please send me your contact info in a PM. Name, addy, email addy...thanks !

MissStamper....sorry to hear you got the wrong tags...I am sure you can exchange them...Most of the stores around here only carry the #8 tags so I rarely ever use anything else.

Do we need to add the ribbon on top? can we use more then one stamp on a tag? when I stamp on a large tag I like using a big image like a large butterfly I would stamp it on the right middle side I would use more then half or the hole stamp image then I would use the same image but use half the wing of the image and stamp it up on the mid top section somewhere comes out very nice, I could do a sample of it if you like so you could see what I'm talking about?

Hi ANdrea - You do not have to add a ribbon or twine or any embellishments at all. You may use a "Collection" of stamps to achieve an image that is cohesive....for example a big butterfly with a sentiment that says " Fly Away on Wings of Love" ( or something else referring to a butterfly )

The idea is to have some tags to work with that you would not have due to the huge variety of stamps available. Most of us have our favorite collections we use... I love the Loralie stamps and also Sheena and Our Daily Bread. I do not have a lot of Tim Holtz, or Magnolias...so hopefully there will be some in the bunch.

I wanted to keep it EASY, FAST, and FUN and CHEAP TO MAIL !! Flapper ThumpUp Woot
The post office gets plenty from us as it is !

One of my sets will probably use a Magnolia stamp, maybe even two of the sets. I haven't decided yet!

It is a squirrel. We have a special feeder in our yard for them, so they don't mess with the bird feeders. When I saw this stamp I knew I had to have it.

Hi Scrappydew - nice to have you join us... Stazon ink I believe is also a good DYE ink. Please do not use a PIGMENT ink, as it will smear with Copics or Spectrum Noir pens.
