Fellow Gypsy lovers, help!

I usually keep my Gypsy in a fabric-type case (the one that came with the Gypsy). It usually can stand the tossing in my jumbo purse, but lo and behold it now has a crack up-down the screen!

Tapping yields no response. If you look at it at an angle, it looks like it's the "bottom layer" that's cracked, not the tapping surface (if you catch my meaning).

1. After my panic-stupidity of rebooting/self-troubleshoot the Gypsy, did I just shoot myself in the foot and deleted all my linked cartridges, including promotion-downloads?
2. What repair do you think I need to send it in for?
3. Anyone tried their repair services of cracked/scratched screens?[/color]

Anyone answers to my above questions, advice, or general help from anyone is greatly appreciated!
