Oh, and might be a stamp that you could use a metallic embossing powder on. But also, metallic colored ink and clear embossing powder works too.

Love that idea - tons of metallic embossing powders here. Just realized no clear Huh Bored Blink Blink

Would black embossing powder work on the larger image? I can do metallics, but the black works better with inks (imo).

Otherwise, I can buy some clear (I don't mind, just tried the black with inks and liked the results). Just didn't realize I was out of clear - it is all the pearlized type - none of which would work well for this image.

Ditto this question. I tend to use the AC Cardstock 60 sheet packs for most things - I just like the weight and how nicely it cuts with the cricut. Would everyone prefer smooth cardstock for this?

I haven't heard of the other brands of paper mentioned - do you purchase them online somewhere?

Yes Lucinda, go ahead and use what works best for you or what you like the looks of best.

Yes, you have to order the GinaK paper online, other brands too. And these heavier weights of paper don't cut so good on the cricut! lol I use them for copic coloring and my other metal dies diecutting. 120 lb. weight so they give nice dimension to the look of the cut.

Go ahead and use what paper you like. If someone finds it too thin for what they are using it for, they can always back the paper with another layer of paper.

Someone asked about papers -
For stamping I use CRAFTER's COMPANION paper that is matte coated especially for stamping and using the Spectrum Noir (alcohol ink) pens - also works for Copics. It is a good solid weight paper that is not so porous as regular cardstock, so the inks do not run and bleed...Great stuff !
I have some in my Etsy shop for anyone who wants to know where to get it.

Jean and Maria - your stamped images arrived today and they all look great!

This really will be a fun swap to receive back.

Jean, I like the looks of the stamps on the cream colored paper.

Thanks to everyone for information about papers. I have some nice weight cardstock (no clue of the weight or even where it came from) that I will use. Hopefully it works well for everyone. It is the one I use when using inks and mists on my stamped images as it holds up well when 'soaked'.

I am not one to color stamps - did with colored pencils and zig markers years ago. Never got into coloring my images. I have some copics and guessing I must not know how to use them right as they are only used for fancy lettering. Laugh

I may be in need of an angel to step in.

If I don't hear from dancingstar by tomorrow morning, then I will remove her from the one group she is in.

I need to backtrack to see what 2 gals already posted that they wanted to step in as angels or join next round for sure. I will give them first dibbs.

Andrea hasn't posted in any swap...so it could be computer issues but I need to be sure everyone is on board before Friday as I will be away for a few days.

I meant to mention this last week, but then never did...

Regarding embossing images:

I once tried using the TH embossing pad and I had no luck with it. I much prefer the Versamark pad.

Also, if you are having issues with the embossing powder...it might be the brand you are using. I think I did mention that I always use clear embossing powder for super fine detail...it's by Ranger.

I have tried a couple other brands and I never thought they worked quite as well.

Also, please remember and take note that TH embossing powders are meant to give a rough appearance....they are meant to look "distressed" so you may not be pleased with the appearance when using them for a stamped image swap.

IT's okay if you still do the dressform. I feel that that is a popular one (any steampunk dressform) that any of us would love having multiples of.

I will be away from my computer for a few days so if anyone has any questions that can't be answered by the other girls here, then you'll have to wait until I am back online.

And it's okay to still mail out your pkgs. to me even though I won't be online.
