Very last minute I gave in and bought the Craftwell embossing machine. DH has many hobbies and he thought it was a good buy.

We have a Garden Rail Road in our yard and he builds all the houses all he is thinking about is embossing copper and putting it on the roofs of buildings...

He kept saying buy it so I did. What is nice if you don't like it we return it with the 30 days plus it was free s/h

So what did you spend your money on

I was good and didn't buy anything. Lots of clearance, though, so very tempting! I kept telling myself that I have more Anna G. embossing folders coming as well as the auto ship for Project Life.BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin Enjoy your new embossing machine!

I didn't see a thing that interested me so saved some $ which I promptly spent at J's online. Liked their 21cent shipping but spent enough, with all their sales, to get free shipping. Love my Timmy stamps!.

I controlled myself, saving money for Anna Griffin on July 11th Smile

I really thought about getting the Craftwell Embosser but I couldn't justify it because I have a Vagabond. HSN offered a great deal though. You'll have to let me know what you think of the Craftwell. The only negative comment I have heard on the Craftwell was that the impression wasn't as deep as the other Embossing Machines. Of course, they don't say how thick their paper was that they used either.

I have the Ebosser and the emboss is just as deep, if not deeper, than the other embossers. I love mine!BigGrin

Oh I am so glad to hear that. I figured if it isn't good I would return it that is what I like about HSN.

I'm with you, Southern Vintage - looking for some storage solutions and organizational stuff. We have had guests using the guest room, so I'm working out on the breakfast table!

Thanks, that's good to know. I have arthritis in my hands so the Cuttlebug is too difficult for me. I got a really good deal on the Vagabond and I love it but wish it was bigger. I love some of the X-L Spellbinder Dies but they won't fit the Vagabond.

What is the largest size the Craftwell will do and will it work with ALL Embossing Folders and Dies?

Will the Craftwell prevent anything going into the machine that is too thick? I got some die and shim stuck in my Vagabond, it took a long time to get it out. Fortunately, it didn't harm my Vagabond but I wish it wouldn't of even allowed it, if it won't fit properly. It can be hard to judge when you are working with thin Dies, cardstock and having to use shims, sometimes.

TIA

I believe you can use 8 1/2x 11 cardstock and they said you can use any and all dies in the machine because it is Commercial grade

Thanks for the info, I like that it has a least one side that is 12".

I was always wishing that PC would of come out with a 12x12 Embossing Machine or someone would of.

I do a lot of scrapbooking so that would be nice to have a 12x12. Of Course, I suppose they would design 12x12 Embossing Folders and they would probably be expensive.

Please let me know how you like your Craftwell. I might have to place it on my Xmas List if you are happy with it. I would have to sell my Vagabond to justify needing the Craftwell Laugh LOL

If the sandwich is too thick to go through the Ebosser, it will back out the sandwich. I love this feature. I did get a sandwich stuck in the machine once, but just used a mallet and got it out. That is what they tell you to do if it does get stuck in there.

It has been in stores at J's lowered in price considerably. It has also been on sale at $119. If you are interested at all you might just want to check it out online- I did not buy mine right off but heard from a friend that had arthritis that it was easy to use and worked well. We all have plenty of machines, I have the Cutttlebug(s), Revolution by QK (now Lifestyle crafts), The Big Shot Express and the FFuse. I found it did a better wider path than the others. It is a nice machine. BJR.
