I am getting ready to sell my Cricut Expression 2 w/ all my cartridges. Do I need to unlink my machine to the Craft Room...not sure if that is even possible. I just want to make sure that whoever buys the machine w/ the cartridges can use them. Thanks!

You don't really link your Cricut to CCR. But if you have linked your carts, the new owner won't be able to link them to CCR or a Gypsy.

I have the same question but I'm worried that if I buy used carts that have been linked, then I won't be able to link them to my account. From what I've read, you can't unlink them. I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to unlink them and link them to a new account!

If someone has linked a cart to their CCR account and/or gypsy, it cannot be unlinked and you cannot link it to your CCR account and/or gypsy.

When you link a cart to CCR or a Gypsy, you activate a digital copy of the images on the physical cart. The TOU everyone agrees to when they link a cart state that you won't sell the physical cart after linking it. It violates copyright laws and is similar to buying a music CD or movie DVD and making your own copy then selling it.

If you were getting rid of everything - selling the carts with the machine - could you turn your account over to them? Can you switch your personal name, etc. to theirs and give them the password that they could then change when they are in?

I mean if you were completely done with Cricut, and were not going to use any of the products in any way shape or form ...

I am sure this is in some way against the laws of the Cricut universe though... Flapper But it sounds like it would be a fair option.

Your cricut.com account is tied to the email you used when you created the account. I'm pretty sure changing the email address creates a new account {based on what others have posted when they changed their email address due to changing email providers}.

If I link my cricut cartridge to CCR, can the physical cartridge be used on a friend's machine if she doesn't care about linking?

Just wondering what the usability of the physical cartridge is, after it's linked to CCR (not concerned about gypsy linking at all).

Thanks.

In the 'Gypsy' forum section, CricutGena says you can still use linked carts in another machine & 'with the CCR' but you cannot link them again. You just pop the cartridge in when it comes to the cutting stage.
