Hi Everyone!
Every two weeks new sketches, along with an Ad Color Challenge, are posted for you to interpret into your own creations. Do one, two or all the sketches, all we ask is that you share them here with us and that you have FUN!Smile

The AD Color Challenge is provided to help you use a color combination to create your card(s), if you wish. An Extra Credit Challenge may or may not be included every time. It is to challenge you to try new elements when making your cards, it is not required that you do either.

The Extra Credit for this week is to use LACE on your cards. I have chosen sketches which I believe LACE can easily be applied to. HAVE FUN!!

My #1 & Ex. Credit Sample Card:
Sorry! No Cricut
Embossing - Cuttlebug "Baby's Breath" folder
Corners - Fiskar punch
Sentiment - Computer-generated
Heart Border - Martha Stewart punch
I popped the sentiment and added a small black Brad. I added the same black ribbon as the bow I made, under the lace which already had a narrow white ribbon woven through it.

Turtlebug thanks for the sketches and the extra credit. NanaDonna thanks for the add color challenge.

Love all of your sample cards Turtlebug. Was not planning on buying anymore Cricut cartridges, but after seeing what you did with the Ornamental Iron cartridge on your sketch #4 card, I may just have to have it.

We are back!!! Had a fun time in Las Vegas, but glad to be back home again.

#1 (Sort of) - Cute! Like all the assorted cupcakes and the red matting behind them. Like the pattern paper, I have it also and have used it a few times, it is perfect for a birthday theme card.Smile

Everyone seems to be busy, hope everyone has a little time to make a card or two in the coming week!ThumpUp

Welcome back ladies and so glad you were able to enjoy your Vegas time.

Hopefully the "creating" will begin now...missed all your inspirations and my creativeness is still missing. I have got to get some cards.

Hi Lisa!
I understand about you not being able to get your mojo going. It happens to me too!LOL But, then other times as soon as I see the new sketches posted, an idea pops into my head right away as to how I want to interpret that one sketch and I can't wait to get started on it. No need to hurry, though...you still have a week or so, the proverbial light bulb will turn on above your head soon!BigGrin BigGrin

Did get my sketch #1 done.
The flowers are "watercolor" stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps that I have been wanting to use. I love the way it came out. Pattern paper is from a K&Company paper stack. Added some lace for the extra credit.

#1 and Extra Credit - Very nice, love the colors and the pretty crocheted-looking lace border. I just noticed looking at your card that I forgot to add the three skittles on the sketch to my #1 card.OhMyGod
I have seen the technique you used for the flowers before, using assorted stamps. Don't blame you for being happy with the outcome...it looks awesome! Thanks for the inspiration, I'll get brave and try it someday.Smile

Hi Kiethann!
I have had my OI cartridge for a while but never used it very often because the cuts are so intricate. But, ever since the Cricut Craft Room was made available to us, I find that for some reason my cuts are more clean and precise when I use it. I think if you purchase it you will be very happy with it, especially if you use CCR with it.Smile

Can,t use CCR as I have Satellite internet. According to what I have been reading, CCR is not compatible with satellite internet. Have been looking on sites to find ornamental Iron 1 but can only find ornamental Iron 2. Oh well. just a pipe dream I guess.

Nana Donna really like the crocheted ribbon you used on your card. also like the cute bow on it and the colors.

Keithann - I have Satellite internet and I use CCR all the time. In fact I hard ever use my Cricut without it. I have occasional problems but I don't think it is my internet I think it is the program.
Give it a try, I got Josie (Turtlebug) started on it ans she really lkes it.

Boy quiet around hereSad
I got my sketch #2 done last night but did not get a chance to post it.
The papers are from the DCWV Lemon Flower stack, when I saw the ad colors this was the
paper that came to mind.
Scalloped oval cut from Elegant Edges, plan oval cut from Craft Rooms Basics
I did not have lace to go with this color theme so I made my own using my favorite MS punch
lacey border. I cut it twice one in black and one in white.
The flourish is a Sizzix small die ran through my Big Shot machine

Off to work on #3ThumpUp

#2 in Ad Colors and Extra Credit - Very pretty!! LOVE the BG pattern paper and yellow Daisies....OK, I love ALL yellow flowers!!LOL Very creative to use the border punch for the lace, like the way you layered both colors. The scalloped frame and sentiment are very nice, too.

Hello everyone. I've asked Nana Donna to continue to post the colors for me, as things are still very hectic for me right now.

I loved the sketches and all the cards that have been posted so far. Last night I was finally able to make a card out of one of the sketches that I will post, plus I have a few from previous weeks that I just got onto photo bucket. I'm still getting the hang off resizing them in PB, as I always used Paint before.

Here's the card from this week. I had to take the photo with phone and I don't think the colors show up correctly, but it's all I had to work with. The colors are brown and pink. Don't laugh, but the bow is made from the pink plastic wrapper of a Panty Shield. LOL. I'm always saving things that I think I can use. I also used lace.

Thanks, Dee
(It didn't post the first time...I'll try again.)
