I did a cut on most of the item on the Winter Wonderland. I did most on 3 was really disappointment with the pointsetta on size 3. The F1 doesn't cut the little veins at all just tears the paper. What are your thoughts on this new cartridge?

First of all, if there are little lines in the picture there should be cuts in your paper.....not tears! So, you need to experiment with different paper. What kind of paper did you use?

If the paper is fairly soft, you might try using different settings.

What settings did you use?

Maybe some of us can help you if we know (#1, the kind of paper you used; (#2, the blade depth and pressure settings you used for that paper.

For softer papers, I use blade depth 4 and set the pressure to medium. For cardstock, I use the pressure to max and the blade depth on 6.

Another thing you might try.....if you didn't already.....is to burnish your paper onto your mat and use blue tape (or masking tape) around all four edges of your paper (on the mat you'll be putting into the machine). If your paper is moving one little iota while in the CUT, I can see that it will TEAR your paper.

I haven't tried cutting from this cartridge yet. I thought there might be a problem with all the intricut cuts.

In addition to what Char posted. I would also try a new blade and a bigger size.
Try going to 4" or 5" cut for better results.

Just did the cut I think your talking about. I cut it at 5 inches...much smaller and some of the veins would have been too thin, I think. I used a new mat and a fairly new blade. I'm going to try some of the snowflakes next.Smile I forgot to mention I used the recollections paper from M's.
