Hello ladies

Hope everyone had a good week and weekend. Between all my chaos Saturday I did manage to get 2 cards done.

Still got the fourth one to do in the ad colors but not sure I will be able to squeeze it in this week.

Sketch #1: We are unable to attend my husband's niece's wedding but my card is kind of based on their wedding invites. She had taken a paper doily and wrapped it around the card that had all the infomation on it and tied it with a pink ribbon. My paper sort of has a "doily" look and the colors were pink, white, and brown so I used those same colors.

Cartridge: Home decor for the label...not sure what to call it.
Home decor for the heart...flipped it.
Sentiment: Stamp from Michaels
Cuttlebug: Dots

Sketch#2: My niece looked at the sketch and suggested a parachute (I think she was hinting) so I went with it and made her four cards.

Cartridge: Everday Paper Dolls for the parachute.
Sentiment: Computer generated
Stamp: Swirly thing on the bottom is from a set of monkey stamps.

LisaW - #1 very very nice, I love the swirly heart it is a perfect touch. #2 cute idea to use a parachute, I never knew there was a parachute on that cartridge. I sure your niece will be happy.

LISA are you still hosting for us this next two weeks starting on Wednesday? Just wanted to make sure.BigGrin

Bingolady - #3 love that silhouette shape, I really need to pull out my Child's Year cartridge. Love the black background a nice change from the white.

Hello ladies

Planned getting all caught up last night and yep school is back in and my kids are so good at waiting until the last minute to get their projects done so of course mom puts her stuff aside.

NanaDonna: Thank you for the wonderful sketches. New ones for us and they were fun to work with. Love the ad colors...just didn't quite get to them yet.

Love your sketch #1 with all of the different patterned paper. Of course my first thought with sketch #2 was an ice cream cone. Love your pinwheel and the colors are beautiful together. Wonderful sketch #3 in the "nautical" theme. Great job of embossing (I wish I could find that "basket weaved one." Sketch #4 is adorable...love the plaid background paper and wonderful job on the coloring. Beautiful ad color card...I love that paper pack and someday I will get to mine:).

BingoLady: Adorable sketch #1...love the saying and your card fits perfectly.

TurtleBug: Yummy ice cream...wonderful job with the embossing. Almost missed the chevron edging...like that design.

Keithann: Love that clown and great thinking of turning the sketch around.

Sorry ladies...will have to come back tonight to finish up. 1/2 hour lunch goes by so quick.

Hi Ladies - I just clicked into this thread - I LOVE IT - Would like to join in, if that is ok!
I love making cards but always need ideas and something to go by. I've never tried sketches for cards, so I am excited to give these a try. Since I'm not very creative on own, I doubt that I could post anything, but I'll be a looking.BigGrin

Hi Ladies!
Sorry I have been MIA...my computer got sick so I was not able to use it. My DD has taken to the "Doctor" to give it a check-up. Am now using Computer #2, which I couldn't use for a while...DD had been working on it, too! At least I have one working computer for now.

Hi Flo!!

LisaW.
#1 - Nice soft coors. Like the oval frame and cute heart. Your DH niece will love her wedding color theme you used on it. Pretty card.
#2 - Funny, all the different images everyone saw on this sketch!! I think it was NanaDonna's intention on picking this sketch...and YUP, we all saw something different!! It has been fun to see all the different ideas created from this one sketch. Love the parachute...don't have this cartSad Sad! Perfect sentiment and BG Army paper.

BingoLady
Like the paper patterns and the cute silhouette image. Perfect Friend card...as they say..."A dog is a man's (Boy's) best Friend"!!BigGrin

Still have my #1 card to post, hope to get it posted tonight. Had a hard time scanning it the right size from this computer. If I still can't, I will post it on Lisa's Challenge
tomorrow.
