Has the person you are having the baby shower for picked out the theme for her baby nursery. You could use a cartridge with fancy shapes on it and cut out post card type invites and cut out the object (for instance say her nursery has animals as her theme) and secure it to the invite and put all in the envelope.

I helped my daughter make small boxes (for nuts and mints) from the bag, tags, and more cart and then we glued dragonflies on top of each lid. We also cut out a large dragon fly and used it for the centerpiece. Her colors were mint green and pastel yellow. The person the shower was for really liked what we had done. The invites were made by using the negative section (of the dragon fly cut out) and then. By using 12 X12 paper we were able to cut out 4 fold in half invites but you could easily make six by cutting dragon flies six times. This takes a trial and error to determine where exactly to cut the dragon fly, but the finished results are worth it. We also made small place tags for the tables by reducing the size of the dragon fly cut.

You could also(if you own the Imagine) use the Nursey tails cartridge and cut out the invite included on the cartridge.

for the information you could either stamp or handwrite on the invites.

Another idea would be to cut baby booties to make a shaped card. Or cut out 2 baby bottles and create a hinge at the top to make a card.

Another idea would be to buy packaged card bases divide the card into even sections using thick markers (to resemble frosting) and stamp baby related items on the front in the sections.

Hope these ideas help you come up with some nice invites.

I am sending you a pm with a picture. I don't want to post it because there is some personal info that I don't know how to block out.
