It would need to work wirelessly. I have no space for the machine right by the computer.

I would have to say I could have never imagined all the cricut can do and So I can not even start to guess what else they could do with it. That being said I agree it should do everything it says it can right out of the box.

YUP and work with the gypsy

OR work with a gypsy 2 (of course, they would have to be designing a gypsy 2)

IF there is a new machine in the works it must meet the following conditions for me to purchase:

1. The NM must be a technical improvement over current models...... I don't want the same 7 year old cutting technology packaged in a new case or a smaller/larger size or a different color or different style housing...... specifically, recoloring an E2 cream and gold and decaling a designer's name on a cutter won't get me to open my wallet.

2. If the NM is a cutter...... the cutting mechanism has to have been improved to meet or exceed what today's generation of cutters are capable of, ie, intricate cuts, even scallops, perfect circles, print and cut. (This is my short list of improvements.... I have a long list.)

3. It must be offered via HSN so that if the machine is not as promised by bloggers or PC/PC representatives/HSN Reps it can immediately be returned.

4. It must perform OUT OF THE BOX exactly as represented...... not one smudgeon less than PC or PC/HSN reps and bloggers who have been given machines in order to create hype say it will perform.

5. The NM can not be sold to me on FUTURE promises and developments.......

6. It must have some type of computer interface.....I prefer computer-resident software

As I think of more....... I will edit this list....... I will not wait 2 years+++ like i did for PC to allow me to link my Gypsy carts in CCR. I will not be sold a machine that doesn't work as advertised just to have it discontinued later. This time it's a BUYER BEWARE situation for me. PC is going to have to prove themselves, under-promise and over-deliver to get me to spend more than a few bucks on their products ever again!

While I continue to buy new Cricut artwork (both digital files and carts), I will not buy a new Cricut machine unless it cuts better than my competitor's machine and/or is bundled with better software than the competitor's software. As I doubt either of these things will happen, I doubt I will buy a new Cricut machine.

These are the times that being an international customer is good for me. It will be months and months before the New Zealand importer can get the new machine in stock.

By that time, I'll get to read all the reviews on this message board and make my decision. I thank you all for assisting me in not buying a Gypsy or an Imagine.

My hope is that the quality is up there like the original Expression. My husband nearly had a fit when I paid $900 for a cutting machine but now even he agrees that for the amount of time my bug is used and that after 3 years it's only just starting to have hissy fits, it was money well spent.

Also, I'd still like to have the option of cutting without my computer. I love CCR and use it alot but I like having that choice. That 'other' machine does not give me that.

I would like it to print and cut. I *LOVE* my Imagine but live in fear of it dieing on me. Also something that isn't just digi focused. I am bummed that DS will not get future carts - I have gypsy but the screen is small and CCR is not an option for me b/c of a spotty internet connection. If DS isn't an option anymore I want a cricut that is not computer dependent.

A Gypsy 2 is my dream machine, not a new cutting machine. I LOVE my Gypsy.
