Thanks for the notice Debra .....I am sure your cards are fine...no worries.
Yes they should get here quickly I would think !
I have never been down to the Keys - I cannot think about that BRIDGE drive...gives me the "willys" as my Mom would say LOL
One day I hope to get brave enough to do it or take a boat ride down there. My DH is hard to motivate though...

Hi Barbara,

Glad you received and liked the cards. I'm going to make my October cards and get them in the mail next week. I realize I've already sent Thanksgiving cards but think I will make another set in a different style. I would also like to commit to Nov-Dec-Jan. I will do my best to complete all 3 months and mail together by end of Oct.

Nite-T-Nite, Carol

Thank you Carol - I was assuming you wanted the Thanksgiving cards to be held until the October mail out...so you can receive double cards next month. If that is not what you meant, please let me know.

In the meantime, here is a peek at the cute cards sent in by CricutNat. I photographed 2 of them to show you how she slightly altered the cards, even though they are basically the same. This is a clever way of using your materials that you have at hand. Sometimes I start making cards and after I do a few of them I find that I have run out of ribbon or another embellishment and have to alter the remaining cards a bit. This is perfectly fine to do. I found that when people send me 6 completely different cards that it is impossible to sort them and keep it fair. So that is why I want them to be all the "same".

I will be back again with more pics !!

Okay - I finally got some more cards in today and had time to do pictures tonight for you...so here is the Halloween "Gallery" so far ....

KeysDeb made a wonderful pumpkin card with lots of great embossing and I love the color combination !!

EvelynR made a really sweet Halloween Teddy-bear "witch" Halloween Birthday card - which is perfect if you know someone with a birthday on or around October 31st !

AmyLendall made 2 sets of cards that are so original...We have a "Haunted house" that actually opens up by moving the front porch ! And a clever colorful Tombstone card too with the "RIP" carved into the front.

DoriC made an intricate spider web card with lots of Cricut cutting and a Glossy black "web" on the Purple satiny paper !

Amanda made a really adorable Black cat stretched out in front of a bright orange Pumpkin ! SO cute - and the Kitty is glossy too !

Okay - so I will try to download these 6 lovely cards in the proper order for you now .... Will be back tomorrow with more... Love

Love, love the cards. I can't wait to get them. BigGrin

I have a question though. I wanted to do some heat embossing on my cards, but I had no luck. I "you tubed" how to videos and it sure seems easy. I have JoAnn brand embossing powder, and embossing ink. Any helpful tips???

Just received 3 sets of cards from dancingstarr (2 Halloween and 1 Thanksgiving) - Will post pictures as soon as I can get to it...but Andrea - unfortunately you forgot to insert any return postage money. You will have to send me $3.50 through Paypal as a cash gift transfer if you want to get any cards back. You mailed 3 days late and I have been holding off everyone else's exchange for your cards to get here... So I will be sorting cards tonight and mailing out tomorrow if I can get it all done by then.

Here is a picture I took last night for my Blog of another card I made for Halloween

Keysdeb - I had a hard time with embossing powder for a long time...it still presents a challenge to me sometimes. I learned that you need to be sure to hurry up and get the powder on there before the ink dries too much. So you can only do one thing at a time. Maybe that will help you . Anyone else who has suggestions, please feel free to help her. Love

KeysDeb - try a glue pad with the stamped image - it is fun to start this way and because it is glue the embossing powder stays and although you may not get awesome stamped image colors it is fun to practice this way first!

I have found for heat embossing to get an embossing buddy (little fabric bag with either cornstarch or flour, not sure) and rub on the card stock or paper first. I had a problem with static and my powder stuck all over. It is really fun to do, just need to take your time on it. Get a good stamped image (even pressure)and sprinkle on the powder, shake off excess and then heat with gun. I probably hold my gun to close to the image, but it seems to work better for me and heats it better. I know I am not much help but just practice, you'll get it in no time. I think someone has a you tube video on making your own embossing buddy but I do not sew so had to buy one. Cathi.

Here are pix of the cute cards sent in by Dancingstarr (first 2 sets) really cute !! nice job !!
And BeverlyGray sent in these wonderfully complex and super neatly layered cards with cuts of the Frankensteins and a great color scheme ! Very nice... Gosh, Beverly was the first to send hers in and I almost forgot to post the pix of hers ! Sorry to be so slow Bev !Blushing

I am sorting cards tonight and plan to get them all in the mail to you tomorrow...I will keep a list of the tracking #s just in case we need them, but I dont see any need to type them all in here unless you all want me to do that.

This was great fun making Halloween cards ...and I am well into making the Thanksgiving themed ones for the end of October. Remember it can also be a general "Thank You" card or a specific "Thanksgiving" card ...and you are welcome to do both of them.

Some people have already sent in their cards for December and January...pretty smart to get it out of the way...so anyone who plans on doing the cards for Christmas and New Year's or a Winter theme you are welcome to do the same.

Will be back tomorrow with a picture of my card as well as news about mailing. Good night all !

You can use an used dryer sheet instead of a embossing buddy. Works great. I use them all the time and at the end of the project you can throw it away and start fresh the next time.

I have learned with all the embossing that I have done the best ink pads that work for me is the embossing ink pads. I have tried many different brands and kinds of ink and I always go back to my embossing ink.

I can't believe it... It is only The 8th of the month and I am sitting her cutting out my Thanksgiving cards..... can't wait til they are all done.... I am making extra to give them to a few friends and family members. I usually don't make enough to keep any for my own use.
